Chapter 280 No More Anger, Okay

Norah swiftly got out of the car at the entrance of the hotel and went straight to the elevator that led upstairs. After getting out of the elevator, she couldn't help but trot up. When she saw the man sitting on the sofa who was casually smoking, she suddenly let out a deep

sigh, feeling very much relieved. Just seeing Sean made Norah excited, and it was as if all her stress faded away. "Hi, darling. I'm back.

Sean was the only one in the living room, surrounded by the strong smell of cigarettes.

Nonetheless, Norah didn't perceive the scent as pungent. Instead, she was only focused on Sean who looked more striking among the smoke. Sean then put out the half-empty cigarette on the ash tray and slowly looked up to Norah. "Oh, here

you are." His voice sounded deep and hoarse, primarily because he had been smoking. With quick but silent steps, Norah walked toward him.

He stood up and reached out in an attempt to grab her hand, but her momentum made her bump into his arms before hugging him tightly.

"Were you worried about me?" Norah asked in a tender voice.

Norah had long forgotten how it actually felt like to be cared about. For the past two years, as she lived in the Carters' residence, she had broken down and lost herself. It was not until the divorce happened that she began to experience friendship and love again.

Since her first marriage was a failure, Norah didn't know what a good partner was like. But after

getting along with Sean these days, she couldn't deny that her heart was full and happy.

Sean cared about her, protected her, worried about her, and even spent a lot for her without asking

for anything in return. More importantly, he respected and tried to understand her. Needless to say, he

was qualified to be a boyfriend and a partner. Norah's body in his arms felt so warm and soft, emitting a faint but alluring fragrance. Sean placed his chin on her shoulder, gently patting her back to calm and reassure her.

"Yeah. I thought you were kidnapped by the Breaker since I couldn't reach you," Sean replied. Hearing such tender words, Norah wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning her body back a little to look straight into his eyes. "I'm sorry. It's my fault. I promise that next time, I will tell you before I do anything. This will never happen again."

Norah could easily get so immersed in her work and had forgotten to contact Sean and give him a heads-up. With her phone on mute, she didn't call him back until she finished all her tasks. If she were in Sean's shoes, she would be on edge. All this time, Sean's expression had been light, and so it was hard to tell whether he was angry or not.

However, Norah noticed that his reaction seemed to be less enthusiastic than before. Just a few days

ago, whenever he saw her, he would be the one to initiate intimacy. But today, when she came back, she was the one who first hugged him.

mouth. "I have deeply realized my mistake, and it won't happen again." In fact, Sean was much relieved when he learned Norah was safe. He was just being a little indifferent to see what she would say to him after she returned.

Seeing her delicate face and hearing her soft voice, he finally let out a smile and said, "I'll remember

what you just said." Norah looked so adorable when she acted spoiled. Just gazing at her made Sean's heart soft. How could he continue to ignore her, let alone be angry? It was impossible.

"Anyway, I'm hungry. Shall we go eat?" As soon as Norah finished speaking, her stornach growled. It

was as if all her tense emotions had finally dissipated. Swallowing hard, Norah loosened her grip on his neck and walked toward the table with her head looking down to hide her embarrassment. "Let's eat."

Staring intently at Norah's back, Sean couldn't help but be delighted. Phillip wamed him before that Norah had many secrets and might be a dangerous woman, but Sean didn't think so. He only saw her as a very attractive, kind-hearted, and smart person. In his opinion, Norah was actually flawless, the perfect girl that any man would want.

The two had a romantic dinner. There were candles on their table, and the food was delicious. Everything was so beautiful and peaceful.

After dinner, the two sat on the sofa in the living room to rest for a while. At this time, Norah took out four baby's fist-sized porcelain vials out of her bag and placed them on the table.
