Chapter 664 Lifeless Doll

After showering in the hotel. Norah called Joanna and inquired about Susanna

She and Sean were still giving each other the silent treatment. Therefore, she had to inquire Joanna about Susanna's condition

Joanna had just left the hospital after visiting Susanna. "It's okay Susanna is transferred to a general ward, they have kept her under observation. She woke up once tonight but didn't talk to anyone"

She sighed and continued, "Susanna has become strange. She refused to talk to anyone not even her family"

That was why she stayed up late. She wanted to hear Susanna talk again

Joanna was so exhausted that she fell asleep while waiting for Susanna. However, the latter didn't utter a word. Her vacant eyes were foxed on the white ceiling

"I wanted to call you as soon as I got back. Why has Susanna become like this, Norah? I really have no idea.

Norah had been thinking about the reason as well. Susanna was always a little introverted before strangers, but she was lively and merry around the people she knew

It was surprising to hear she hadn't uttered a word after waking up.

"Matteo told Kayla not to bring Nancy to the hospital. I have been staying beside Susanna ever since the woke up But she is mute. By the way, Norah, haven't you made up with Sean yet?" Joanna asked, remembering their fight

Earlier in the day, she found Sean looked gloomy and cold. She didn't dare to talk to him, fearing she would annoy

him again.

"Joanna, you don't have to worry about Sean and me. Please pay more attention to what's going on with Susanna. If she continues to behave this way, I'll take leave and come to her as soon as I can.

Norah sighed and thought she should visit Susanna herself. Susanna was her friend, irrespective of what happened between her and Sean.

"Okay Norah. I'm relieved to hear that. I'll go to the hospital every day and keep Susanna accompanied. I promise."

Norah didn't tell Joanna about the danger she had faced, much like how she didn't disclose it to Sean

She knew she could look after herself.

After hanging up the phone, she lay on a pillow and closed her eyes. She missed Sean's strong chest.

She would forget all her worries when she buried herself in Sean's chest. He would hold her tightly in a protective embrace.

She lay on the soft bed and slowly drifted off to sleep

At Silver Boulder Private Hospital

Sean couldn't sleep well since Susanna attempted suicide. Every time he closed his eyes, Susanna's accident would flash in his mind. He was so frightened that he didn't dare to sleep.

When Susanna was moved to a general ward, she didn't speak a word after regaining consciousness, which deeply concerned him.

She used to be a positive girl who bravely dealt with her illness but had, now, turned into a patient whom no one could communicate with.

His heart ached for Susanna, Sean sat on the chair beside the bed and looked unblinkingly at her.

The nurses had changed the infusion bottles several times. Susanna's eyes squeezed in her sleep and her breathing faltered.

Sean murmured in his heart, "Susanna, I know you will get better. You promised to travel around the world after recovery and help me and Norah look after our baby. Don't give up! Stay strong for us"

Phillip stood behind him, feeling heartbroken too.

In the past, Susanna would talk to him cheerfully and smile at him

However, she didn't respond this time.

Susanna was like a lifeless doll. She refused to talk with anyone, not even Phillip and Sean.

However, Phillip strongly believed she would recover soon.
