"I don't have the full picture of what happened in the past, but Vicky told Harvey everything when he asked about your memory loss. This just proves how much she trusts him. Moreover, they seem to think you're sick in some other way and have been feeding you other kinds of medicine without you knowing it.

"If you ask me, these are just excuses for Vicky to poison you. She won't stop until you're dead, Tyler! I even heard from your mother that Vicky tried to poison you five years ago. She would've gotten her way if your family didn't bring you home and give you the antidote.

"Now, she's trying to do the same thing again! As revenge for putting Harvey behind bars and to get all your fortunes so she could be happy with Harvey! She'll kill you if this continues!"

Tyler heard everything Avery said. However, as a shrewd man, he would never fall for her trap.

That was until he remembered Vicky put something into his soup before serving it to him that one morning. He was suspicious of her initially, but his trust in her won in the end. He thus assumed she merely added some seasonings to his soup.

Then there was all the milk she had him drink every night…

Vicky's suspicious behavior came rushing back into his mind once the seed of suspicion had been planted, causing him to feel like his head was going to explode.

Avery jumped up in fright when she saw the pained expression on Tyler's face. She immediately went to hold him up. "Tyler, are you okay?"

Tyler pushed her away roughly. "Get lost!"

The look of hurt flashed through Avery's eyes. "Tyler, I wasn't lying to you…"

"Get lost!" repeated Tyler in a harsher tone.

Though reluctant, Avery decided to leave since she had achieved her goal. She took out a document from her bag and put it into Tyler's hand.

"Tyler, this isn't the only evidence I have. You'd do well to go through the document if you want to live."

She then turned around, but a malicious smirk spread across her face soon after. She then walked out of the office.

It was already seven o'clock at night.

Vicky kept checking her phone worriedly. She had called Tyler a few times, but he never answered. 'He did say he'd come home for dinner, didn't he?'
