Regina panicked internally and hurriedly said to Ander, “Mr. Morgan, I think she’s just trying to stall for time, waiting for someone to come and save her. Who knows if the person who

Under coercion, she believed that Melody would give in.

Even if you get the answer you want after torturing me and interrogating me, do you think there’s still time?”
What she said struck a chord with Ander.
He looked deeply at Melody and saw that her eyes were clear and determined, not like those of a deceitful person.
Moreover, if Melody had really done something to Lucas, would she dare to proactively request to fix the surveillance data?
Considering this, Ander no longer hesitated and ordered, “Let her go!” The bodyguard immediately untied Melody.

What Zoe said made Regina reluctant to speak further, afraid she might reveal herself.
She could only clench her teeth and pray that Melody was just someone who knew nothing about hacking.
Within a minute, the bodyguard brought a laptop.
The anesthesiologist looked at Melody with a tense expression, worried that she wouldn’t be able to recover the footage.
If she failed, his career as an anesthesiologist would be over by the Morgan family.

Regina was so nervous that she
subconsciously held her breath, staring intently at the screen and silently begging, ‘Don’t restore the surveillance!’
She couldn’t help but start convincing herself that the hacker she hired was top-notch and expensive, so there was no way Melody could successfully fix the surveillance!
However, just as this thought appeared, she saw Melody press the enter key with a decisive “snap”, and the chaotic code transformed into a string of irregular numbers.
“Done,” Melody said with calm eyes as if she wasn’t engaged in a fierce technical battle but merely discussing the weather.
“Done?” Ander couldn’t believe it. “Can we watch the surveillance now?”
“That’s impossible!” Regina blurted out subconsciously. “It’s only been two minutes! How could you possibly defeat such a powerful hacker?” “Powerful?” Melody responded with a wry smile. “Miss Sterling, may I ask how you know the hacker on the other side is powerful?”
With those words, almost everyone in the operating room, including Zoe; looked at Regina with complicated and suspicious gazes.
Regina’s heart tightened, and she hastened to explain, “This is just a casual guess… The hacker who could break into Silverlake Hospital’s surveillance system must have some serious skills, right?”
Melody shrugged and, without another word, used her hacking skills to connect to the hospital’s surveillance. She swiftly found the relevant footage.
Before Regina could react, the surveillance footage appeared before everyone.
In the footage, Melody was standing beside the operating table and focused on the surgery while the
anesthesiologist beside her had set aside his own work to help her pass the instruments.
In stark contrast, Regina was sitting not far away, playing a cell phone game.
Watching Regina slap her leg in frustration after losing the game,
Ander and Zoe could hardly believe their eyes.
Seeing this, Regina turned pale at once. She rushed toward the laptop in a frenzy and threw it out of the operating room.
She had completely lost her mind and turned to attack Melody.
Before she could touch Melody, a large hand yanked hard on her wrist.
Regina glared angrily, only to see James looking at her coldly, his eyes full of warning.
When did James get here?
Regina’s mind went blank for a split second.
Melody was also surprised and asked James with her eyes why he was there. James shook off Regina’s hand with a disgusted look and said in a voice only the two of them could hear, “Until Lucas divorces you, no outsider can bully you. I’m doing this to protect Lucas’s reputation.”
Melody couldn’t help but curl her lips. “Thanks.”
James wasn’t bad by nature, just a bit difficult to deal with and straightforward.
Regina was thrown to the ground by James with great force.
She raised her eyes in exasperation, only to meet Ander’s furious gaze. “You bitch!” he growled, reaching out to slap Regina hard across the face.
The slap was so hard that Regina could even taste blood in her mouth.
She was trembling from the pain and subconsciously turned to Zoe for help.
