After Mabel finished speaking, she threw himself into Yolanda’s arms and cried.

Mabel sobbed bitterly that anyone who heard it would shed tears. Her crying was filled with such grievance that it could move anyone to tears, portraying Melody as an evil villain.

Yolanda knew that only half of what his daughter said was true, but there were no surveillance cameras in the backyard so Mabel could say whatever she wanted.

Hattie could not take it anymore. She boldly stood in front of Melody and said, “Mr. Fox how can you hit Miss Melody.

Melody was afraid that this matter would implicate Hallie, so she quickly pulled Hattie to the side.

“Hattic, stop talking. I can settle this matter myself. Please go check on Grandma and don’t disturb her” said Melody,

Grandma’s condition hadn’t improved yet. Any extreme emotions would worsen her condition again. Melody didn’t want this minor incident to disturb her grandmother’s

recovery.

When Hattie saw Melody’s determined expression, she could only suppress her anger and leave quickly without saying anything else.

After Hattie left, Russell became even angrier.

Russell reached out to snatch the stick from her hand.

“You know Wendell Hunter? The owner of this dog is Wendell’s daughter, Cadence Hunter.”

“Wendell.” Russell was stunned.

Wendell’s sister was Astrid.

The marriage between Mabel and Ulric had a lot to do with Astrid.

If a marriage was ruined because of a dog, it would not be worth it.

Melody continued, “Cadence fell sick a while ago and was hospitalized in a mental hospital, so she asked me to take care of her dog. The reason I didn’t tell you is that this dog is only temporarily raised at home. But I heard that she will be discharged soon.”

“You can beat this dog to death now, but when the time comes if she comes to ask for the dog, please explain the situation yourself,” Melody added.

“As far as I know, Cadence dotes on this dog in every way possible. I’m afraid she won’t let it go.” Melody added again.

The more Russell listened, the more troubled his expression became.

If Russell really beat this dog to death, it might not only affect the marriage but also his relationship with the Swanson family…

At the thought of this, Russell instantly gave up on beating the dog.

Russell was silent for two seconds before he said with a dry smile, “Melody, why didn’t you tell Dad about such a serious matter?”

Melody said indifferently, “I want to say it, but are you giving me this chance?”

Russell coughed dryly and looked at the dog that was covered in blood. He said in a panic, “Melody, now is not the time to be angry. You know medicine. Quickly take a look at the dog’s condition.”

Yolanda and Mabel’s faces turned pale when they heard this.

They hadn’t expected this wasn’t Melody’s dog at all.

Russell’s heart tightened instantly.

“Then what are we waiting for? Butler, quickly get the driver to prepare the car! Drive the expensive car at home. It doesn’t matter if the car is dirty. We have to rush to the hospital as soon as possible.” Russell ordered.

“Then I’ll be leaving first.” Melody carried Lucky, who was covered in blood, and walked out. Halfway out, he turned to look at Russell and said, “Dad, if the dog can’t be cured, please bring Mabel to apologize as soon as possible.”

As soon as Melody said this, Mabel’s back stiffened.
