Chapter 294
– Who Do You Like?
“If this game doesn’t exist in the countryside, I’ll teach you how to play it.” Janet seemed to care about Melody, but in fact, she was telling Sid, who had just returned to the country, that Melody was a country girl.
However, Sid didn’t hear Janet’s words at all. He went to look for the tool to play Truth or Dare with.
Melody glanced at Janet indifferently and said expressionlessly, “The country also has internet.”
Janet smiled hypocritically. “Well, as long as you know how to play.”
A moment later, Sid returned with the beer he had found in the fridge. He filled the glasses in front of them with beer and placed the empty bottle at the center of the table.
Sid said, “Whoever the bottle points to, we can ask that person a question. Of course, he can also choose Dare and we can dare him to do something. Today is the first day I met you, Melody. Let’s keep it simple. If you can’t answer the question or do the task, you can accept a punishment and drink the beer. Got it, Melody?”
Melody could not help but look at Sid. It turned out he had heard what Janet had said just now. He had deliberately pretended not to hear so she would not be embarrassed.
Melody’s eyes darkened. Because of Sid’s actions, she decided to save his life.
Hypertension was incurable, but it could be prevented from causing cerebral hemorrhage by maintaining normal blood pressure through drug intervention.
Melody looked away and thanked Sid politely. “Thanks. I got it now.
After that, Melody felt Ken’s gaze on her turn colder. She was confused and did not know where Ken’s anger came from, so she simply ignored him.
“Then let’s begin.” Sid rubbed his hands and said, “I’ll turn first, so I’ll ask first. Whoever the bottle points to has to answer the question. Are you ready?”
With that, Sid began to turn the bottle.
The bottle spun a few times before stopping. It faced Janet. Janet spread her hands helplessly. “Ask away.”
Sid rubbed his chin and asked a sharp question. “Of everyone present, who do you dislike the most? You have to tell the truth.”
Janet lowered her eyes and smiled naturally. She said, “Sid, why are you embarrassing yourself? Of course, it’s you. You’re always joking around. When can you be more mature? Don’t fool around like you did overseas now that you’re back. The girls here are very conservative.”
“Fine, I shouldn’t have asked you.” Sid dug his ear and handed the bottle to Janet. “You do it, okay?”
Janet took the bottle and secretly controlled the strength in her hand. The bottle turned and pointed at Ken. She sat up straight and took a deep breath. “Ken, be honest. Is there anyone you like? I’m talking about romantic love.”
After Janet finished, the living room fell silent. Sid pursed his lips in boredom and said, “Janet, what kind of question is that? If he has someone he likes, wouldn’t that be a shocker?”
When Sid finished, he saw Ken suddenly pick up the glass of beer on the table and drink it in one gulp. His eyes instantly widened as he asked in shock, “Ken, what do you mean by this?”
Ken glanced at Sid indifferently and asked expressionlessly, “Didn’t you say that if we can’t answer, we will drink a glass of beer?”
Sid was even more shocked and stuttered, “N-no… Why can’t you answer Janet’s question? Don’t tell me… there’s someone you like?”
Ken did not answer. He only glanced at Melody from the corner of his eye.
Janet, who was sitting beside Ken, instantly clenched her fists. She did not even notice that her nails had dug into her flesh.
Ken… actually drank the beer. Anyone with brains knew what this meant. Ken really liked someone.
Janet bit her lip and looked at Melody. However, Melody looked up at her meaningfully.
Janet thought, ‘What does she mean? Is this a provocation? Damn bitch.’
Janet almost couldn’t hold it in anymore. She gulped down a glass of beer. After drinking, she couldn’t help but ask, ” Who do you like?”
Sid followed the rules of the game and gave Janet a look. ” You can only ask one question at a time.”
Ken picked up the bottle expressionlessly and asked, “Is it my turn?” Without waiting for an answer, he turned the bottle.
The bottle spun twice. Coincidentally, the mouth of the bottle pointed at Melody.
“Why are you in a bad mood today?” Ken asked.
Melody pursed her lips and replied, “I’m in a good mood today.”
Ken raised his eyebrows and said, “The most important rule of Truth is to tell the truth.”
Melody was silent for two seconds before picking up her glass and drinking it in one gulp. She didn’t want to answer.
Sid looked puzzled. “Melody, you can’t even answer that question?”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Melody said simply and turned the bottle.
The mouth of the bottle pointed at Sid.
Sid rubbed his hands and said, “Bring it on. I don’t have any secrets. I’ll choose Dare.”
“Alright.” Melody nodded. This was exactly what she
wanted. Under Sid’s expectant gaze, she said, “You have to go for a physical tomorrow.”
“Okay… Huh? What did you say?” Sid was shocked.
Melody repeated patiently.
The corners of Sid’s mouth twitched. He looked at Melody and then at Ken. He scratched his head in confusion. “What is this?”
Sid had a feeling that Melody still didn’t know how to play Dare. He thought, ‘Who would dare to let someone go for a physical examination? How interesting.’
Sid chuckled and said, “Alright, I’ll do the dare tomorrow. It’s my turn again…”
Melody stood up. “It’s getting late. I’ll head back first. You guys continue.”
With that, Melody walked out.
Ken quickly stood up. “I’ll see her off. Help yourselves.”
When Ken finished, he had already walked toward Melody. They disappeared in an instant.
Sid felt that something was amiss. He poked Janet, who had an ugly expression on her face, and asked, “What’s going on? Why do I feel that something is going on between them?”
“You’re thinking too much,” Janet said with a dark expression. “Ken will never fall for her. Never.”
‘Ken is only mixing up the feelings of love and novelty. That must be it,’ Janet thought.
Sid was shocked. “What is wrong with you? Why are you reacting so strongly?”
“It’s nothing.” Janet realized that she had lost her composure and poured herself another glass of beer.” Come. I wish you all the best now that you’re back in the country.”
Sid was a little confused, but he still drank with Janet.

Outside the villa, Melody hadn’t gone far when Ken grabbed her wrist.
“Melody,” Ken said.
Melody turned and smiled naturally. “What’s wrong? I’ve already paid you back the meal I owe you. Is there anything else?”
Ken’s eyes flickered, looking dark and unreadable. He took a deep breath and suppressed his anger. He asked in a hoarse voice, “Did you come to cook today because you owe me a meal?”
Melody looked puzzled. “That’s right. What’s wrong? We have to pay back what we owe. This is taught in kindergarten.”
“You’re something. Melody, you’re very good.” Ken only felt a ball of fire raging in his chest. He could not find an outlet to vent no matter what. He gritted his teeth. For the first time in his life, he felt powerless.
After a few seconds, Ken suddenly softened his voice. What’s wrong? What happened today? Everything can be resolved. Tell me and I’ll help you.”
