After Cason finished speaking, he waited for Ander and Sienna to apologize and beg him.

However, Ander did not apologize. Instead, he walked up to Cason and kicked him in the stomach. “Shut up! I won’t allow you to slander Melody anymore!”

Cason cried out in pain and stared at Ander in disbelief. “Are you crazy? How dare you hit me? Don’t you want to find a way out for your son?”

Ander glared at Cason and ordered his subordinates, “Call the police immediately and arrest this person!”

After giving the order, he looked at Cason coldly and said, “Originally, on the account that you’re still a well-known doctor, I show you some respect. But since you don’t want the two chances I gave you, then you can wait to be jailed!”

As Ander spoke, he turned to look at Sid and frowned. “And you. Although you’re Melody’s friend, I won’t allow you to say that about her again!”

“What?” Sid was stunned. When he came back to his senses, he quickly said, “Mr. Morgan, don’t be fooled by Melody. If she really knows how to operate, she should be in the operating theater now, not standing here chatting with you!” When he walked into the ward, he saw Melody chatting with Ander with a smile on her face.

Ander finally realized that Sid might have been fooled by Cason. He could not help but laugh and said, “Is it possible that my son has already been saved by Melody, so she can stand here and talk to me?”

“W-what? He’s been saved? How is this possible?” Sid was so shocked that his eyes widened as he looked at Melody in disbelief.

Melody shrugged. “I told you don’t worry. Lucas’s condition has stabilized. He’ll wake up soon.”

“B-but…” Sid suddenly realized that he was stuttering, but he knew that Ander would not joke about his son’s life. His mind was a mess, and he began to wonder how much he and Janet didn’t understand Melody’s abilities.

“That’s impossible!” Cason also heard Ander and Melody’s words. He shouted, “If I can’t perform the surgery, how can a young girl like her complete the surgery?”

“Because you’re a quack!” Sienna also kicked Cason hard and said in frustration, “I invited you here. It’s the stupidest mistake in my life.”

“This is impossible!” Cason refused to believe it no matter what.

Rodney, who had just returned from the ICU, happened to see Lucas’s condition. He walked forward expressionlessly and said, “I can vouch for this. Mr. Lucas is currently stable in the ICU. He’ll wake up in a couple of days, and if there are no complications, he can start rehabilitation immediately.”

Cason did not believe Ander and Melody, but Rodney’s words forced him to admit that what they said was true. His face was pale, and his body seemed to have lost its strength in an instant. He slumped to the ground and kept muttering, “How is this possible?”

Ander could not be bothered with Cason anymore. After instructing his subordinates to take the rambling Cason away, he looked up at Sid and asked, “Dr. Stanton is the top surgeon at Silverlake Central Hospital. You should believe what he says, right?”

Ander shook his head. “I’m not the one you should apologize to.”

Sid pursed his lips and looked at Melody with a complicated expression. “Melody, I…”

“You don’t have to say anything. I know everything.” Melody patted Sid’s shoulder and said to Ander and Sienna, “Zoe is still on an IV drip. You guys go in quickly. I’m here.”

Ander knew that this was a matter between Melody and his friend. As an elder, he could not say much. So after he nodded at Melody, he turned around and returned to the ward with Sienna.

After Ander left, Sid’s tense body finally relaxed. “Melody, it’s all my fault. I was deceived by Cason. He said that the Morgan family was deceived by you and didn’t want him to perform surgery. I didn’t expect that he himself didn’t have the ability to perform surgery.”

“I’ve already said it. There’s no need to say anything else. You’re Ken’s friend, so you’re my friend. There’s no need to talk about this between friends,” Melody replied.

He immediately grabbed Melody’s sleeve nervously and asked, “Melody, tell me honestly. You kept insisting I get a check-up. Did you see something wrong with me? Do I have cancer?”
