Ken then took out an invitation card and handed it to her.
“The Swanson Group is having a cocktail party tonight to celebrate the old man closing a big deal with the government during this business trip. “It’s a thank-you gift from Ander Morgan. I operated on his son. You knew about this. He was the one who was injured in the car accident that day.” Melody took the initiative to explain.
“Mm-hmm. I know.” Ken then said with raised eyebrows, “Ander is really generous to you. It seems that he is truly grateful to you. Only 10 units of this marque were produced worldwide, and one had to pre-order in advance. I reckon this car was what his son wanted initially. Now, he has decided to give it to you instead.”
Melody simply nodded and changed the subject. “Sid Quant mentioned to me that you might need his help in the future?”
