On the way, Melody was still worrying about what to wear at night.

Melody opened the box skeptically and found a white dress quietly placed inside.

“This dress…” Melody looked at Susan and saw the smile on Susan’s face become even brighter. “Mr. Swanson prepared it for you. He said that you’re going to a banquet tonight.”
Melody had indeed told Ken that she was going to a
banquet to meet Samuel. However, she did not expect Ken to be so thorough.
Susan observed Melody’s expression as he continued, “Mr. Swanson is really attentive to you. I’ve never seen him reveal this side of him before. He also said that he knew that you don’t like to put on makeup. This time, he didn’t find a makeup artist for you, but he bought some makeup for you. If you want to use it, you can use it yourself. Melody nodded and went upstairs after changing into a gown in the living room.
She curled her fingers and knocked on the door. “Come in.” Melody pushed the door open and entered. She saw Ken sitting on the bed and reading a report attentively.
She frowned slightly and said, “Ken.”
Ken paused and turned to look at her.
When he saw her in that white dress, his eyes flashed with an unfathomable light.
The light disappeared in an instant. Ken said with a natural expression, “I thought it was Susan. Do you like this dress?” Melody nodded and walked to the bed. She reached out and took the tablet from Ken’s hand.
Under Ken’s questioning gaze, she said, “Don’t forget that not only are your legs injured, but you also have many blisters. If you don’t rest well, those places will easily become inflamed. When the time comes, you’ll have a fever and won’t be able to do anything.”
Ken’s eyes moved slightly. He looked at her deeply and asked, “Are you concerned about me?”
“Of course…”
Ken’s lower lip curled. He was in a good mood.
However, in the next second, Melody spoke again, “Your injuries are all because of me. If anything happens to you again, I won’t be able to live with my conscience.”
Ken’s smile suddenly became smaller.
“Conscience?” Ken glanced meaningfully at Melody and said, “I think you’re the most heartless person.”
The first time they met, she stole his dagger and then his heart. He felt that she was simply a heartless little mouse. “What do you mean?” Melody was confused. She did not understand why Ken would say that.
“You think about it.” Ken did not explain. He picked up the creamy vegetable turkey soup beside him and prepared to drink it.

She frowned and said, “It’s already cold. You can’t drink it anymore. I’ll get Susan to heat it up for you.”
Ken was angry. He said lightly, “You don’t have to worry about me. Prepare to go to the banquet.”
“Okay.” Melody did not notice the change in Ken’s emotions. She was worried about the banquet. She stood up and walked out. Soon, she disappeared from the door and closed it carefully.
Ken looked at the closed room with an indescribably subtle expression.
He thought, ‘She… left just like that?’
The next second, the door was pushed open again. It was Melody.
Ken’s eyes lit up, but his tone was still indifferent.
Ken asked, “Anything else?”
“There’s one more thing I need your help with.” Melody walked in and told him about Nana coming to cause trouble. Then, she said, “Herbathrive still has to deal with the poison. There are a lot of things to do. I don’t want her to interfere.”
“I understand. I’ll take care of it.”
“Alright, sorry to trouble you.” Melody turned around and left.
Nana’s family had barely stepped into the upper class. It was not a big problem. She could actually deal with Nana herself. However, Nana was Ken’s classmate after all, so she felt that it was better to let Ken do it.
The door was closed again. Ken immediately felt annoyed. However, he immediately laughed self-deprecatingly.
