Jennie was shocked. She had thought that Ulric didn’t care about his father’s life as long as he could achieve his goals, but he sounded like he cared.

Just as Jennie thought that she had just made a mistake, Ulric suddenly calmed down, saying, “Don’t say such things again in the future.”

Jennie was stunned to hear this. Joy filled her heart, and she did not suck up to the wrong person.

However, Ulric was so hypocritical that even he was lying to himself.

She tried hard not to smile and probed, “Then you mean to say that you’ve agreed to help me complete my grand undertaking?”

At this moment, Ulric’s subordinate Daniel ran in to report. He did not even knock on the door and hurriedly said, “Mr. Swanson, bad news…”

Ulric looked up coldly and said, “Knock the door!”

Daniel was so frightened that his face jiggled. He quickly retreated and knocked on the door. “Mr. Swanson, I have something urgent to report.”

Ulric’s expression softened slightly. “Come in.”

“Yes!”

“Shoot.”

Daniel glanced sideways at Jennie and said, “Ms. Taylor’s daughter was arrested by the police.”

“What? Who called the police to arrest her? Was it the director of First Hospital?” Jennie asked. She was shocked but not too worried.

This was because her first guess was that Regina had been caught pretending to be a miracle doctor, so First Hospital had called the police.

Jennie thought it was not a big deal. Ulric could settle it with a word. However, Daniel’s words disappointed her.

“First Hospital called the police, but as soon as she was brought to the police station, she was taken away by the Special Task Force.”

The Special Task Force was specially set up in Halcyon to capture and crack down on malicious doctors.

This force could go over the superior’s head and directly arrest people. They did not need to ask any department for permission. Their authority was much higher than the police’s. The people they captured were basically all related to malicious doctors.

Jennie’s face instantly turned pale.

Ulric looked very unhappy. “What happened?” he asked in detail.
