Rosanna was gone, after all.

And Tilda had no desire to ruin the moment.

As she gazed at Lyndon's handsome face, a warm surge of happiness washed over her.

Maybe he did love her, even if only a little.

Though he might not love her as deeply as he once loved Rosanna, he still cared for her.

That thought alone made her heart flutter. Feeling an unexpected wave of joy, she gently tilted her head and pressed a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth.

Lyndon blinked, clearly surprised by her sudden affection.

"I seem to recall someone once saying that only those who've done something wrong are this gentle and considerate," he teased, his tone playful. "So, have you been up to something behind my back?"

Tilda was rendered speechless.

He really did have a sharp memory, using her own past words to counter her now.

Without saying a word, she cupped his face in her hands and kissed him again, this time on his lips, silencing him.

“Stop joking around," she scolded lightly. “We're discussing something serious right now!"

Lyndon's voice dropped to a husky whisper, his tone laced with desire.

“Why do I get the feeling that you're less interested in serious matters and more interested in getting close to me?"

Tilda burst into laughter.

"Alright, back to the point. Are you going to collaborate with Keanu's company or not?"

After a brief pause, she added, "Keanu told me a lot today. He said the company is pressuring him, and if this deal falls through, he might be demoted...”

She intentionally left out the part where Keanu suggested she divorce Lyndon, fearing that it might upset Lyndon.

Lyndon's eyes darkened as he stared into hers, a hint of frustration lacing his voice. “Do you feel sorry for him?"

“No, it's not that," she replied quickly. “It's just... he saved my life in that dangerous situation before, and I feel like I owe him."

She hesitated for a moment, then continued, “But, of course, it's your decision. If you don't want to work with N.C, I completely understand. If he really does get demoted, I'll help him find another job with current pay and benefits."

Lyndon paused for a moment. “When Keanu came to see me, I told him N.C isn't a trustworthy company. I even offered to write him a recommendation letter if he wanted to resign."

A glimmer of surprise sparked in Tilda's eyes. After a moment of silence, she asked, “He doesn't plan to leave, does he?"

Lyndon shook his head slightly. “No. It seems he doesn't want to feel like he owes me anything."
