“Miss, I don't know who you are or why you're saying these things about me. I'm not a slut. Please don't tarnish my reputation."

Seeing Rita play the innocent card, Myra couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"If you don't want to be a slut, then at least keep your distance from my boss. Why are you pestering a married man? Stop pretending to be innocent; your little act is pathetic."

Her biting sarcasm left Rita momentarily speechless.

Rage simmered beneath her calm facade. Did this woman work for Lyndon?

And why did she feel the need to interfere?

At that moment, Lyndon came to a stop right beside them.

Rita looked at him, eyes brimming with feigned hurt. “Lyndon.."

Myra released her grip on Rita and greeted him respectfully, "Mr. Fernandez."

He gave Myra a brief nod, then turned his attention to Rita, his expression unreadable.

"Rita, we hardly know each other, so there's no reason for you to act pitiful in front of me. The act to put your life on the line was stupid. I won't feel sympathy for someone who doesn't value their own life."

He paused, his gaze firm. "As for the help I offered you before, let's leave it at that. Whatever dealings you may have with Scarlet are your own concern, but don't come to me again."

With that, Lyndon turned and walked away.

Rita stood frozen, her eyes fixed on his retreating silhouette. A part of her instinctively wanted to run after him.

"Lyndon..."

"Stop right there! What are you chasing him for?" Myra grabbed Rita's arm firmly. "Hasn't he made himself clear? Mr. Fernandez is a man of integrity. He adores his wife and is utterly devoted to her. He won't divorce her, and he certainly won't entertain an affair. So stop wasting your energy trying to seduce him. Got it?"

Just moments ago, Myra had felt a pang of worry that Lyndon might be swayed by Rita's feigned vulnerability.

Thankfully, Lyndon had proved himself rational, unmoved by Rita's beauty or theatrics.

Myra's Lingering doubts about his loyalty to Tilda dissolved.

She had once feared his marriage was built on convenience rather than love.

But now, it seemed clear-Lyndon wasn't the type to stray.

His composed handling of the situation had left her unexpectedly impressed.

The notion that Keanu was the suitable choice for Tilda vanished once she began to see Lyndon as a better fit.

As she watched Lyndon's car disappear down the street, Myra finally let go of Rita's arm.
