Xavier chuckled. "My son is also a computer whiz. I think the two boys might hit it off."
Hearing this, Jerry frowned and shot back, "Dad, it's not just goofing around, you know?"
"Stay humble, Jerry. Remember, there's always someone out there who's better," Xavier said, his tone growing stern.
Jerry pouted, casting a glance at Sheldon, clearly dismissing him.
Sheldon, lips pursed, stayed silent, but the disdain in Jerry's glance didn't escape his notice.
This smug little brat wasn't taking him seriously, and he didn't like him either.
Tilda, observing her son's clash with Jerry, felt a pang of worry.
She worried that the kids' squabble could jeopardize the budding alliance between their companies.
Luckily, Xavier and his wife seemed forgiving and didn't fault Sheldon for being a tad brusque.
After all, it was their son who had been rude first.
This left Tilda with a rather positive impression of the couple.
Meanwhile, Ellis was on the sidelines, hoping for a spectacle, but the Raynes' tolerance was a Letdown.
Why didn't they stir the pot over the kids' spat?
If they had, Lyndon could have missed out on today's deal!
Ellis's eyes landed on Jerry, a flicker of sly cunning dancing in his gaze.
The boy seemed a bit of a wild card.
Maybe this kid could be his ticket to stirring the pot- driving a nice, clean wedge between Xavier and Lyndon.
Then he'd swoop in, play the peacemaker, and snag the deal for himself !
Standing quietly beside Casper, Rita kept her eyes on Ellis, and at last, the reason behind his earlier stare became clear.
It turned out he was Scarlet's brother. Rita lowered her gaze, a flicker of unease in her eyes.
Ellis and his family were in conflict with Lyndon's. She hoped Ellis wouldn't approach her in front of Lyndon, which would only sour things further.
With that thought, she moved behind Casper, aiming to stay under the radar.
For now, Ellis's focus was solely on the Rayne family, and he paid no heed to her.
Lyndon then tasked Casper and the estate manager with settling the Raynes.
