The words hit Alex like a slap. His expression changed instantly.

Anger twitched through his face.

Of course, he had thought about it. And every time he did, he wished he could make Lyndon and Tilda pay in blood.

Noticing the fire in Alex's eyes, Lyndon raised the phone in his hand. "I know Libby is one of your women. After she found out about your condition, she began to drift away. But now, it seems she's pregnant-with your child. So tell me, should I get someone to erase your only flesh and blood?"

Wait, what?! Libby was pregnant?

Alex shot to his feet, eyes Locked on Lyndon. "What did you just say? Libby is pregnant? How do you know?"

Lyndon's lips curled into a cold smirk. "After we struck back at you, I figured you'd try something. So, I looked into everyone close to you. That's how I found out. And now, I'm giving you two options—drag us all down together, or walk away and save your only child."

Alex's fists clenched. The veins on his forehead pulsed. "You took Libby? You're bluffing... Aren't you?"

Lyndon chuckled but said nothing. Instead, he made a video call.

A moment later, the call connected. A man appeared on the screen.

He had black hair streaked with purple, giving him a bold, unusual look.

He waved casually. "Hey, Lyndon." Lyndon nodded. "Is Libby with you?"

"Yeah. Just serving Miss Bates some water," the man replied, turning the camera.

Libby came into view. She sat on a couch, fingers knotted together, Looking tense and scared.

Lyndon glanced at Alex. "Aren't you going to say hi?"

Alex stepped forward quickly but stopped, suspicious.

Then he turned to one of his men. "Take his phone."

"Yes, sir." The man moved and took the phone from Lyndon. Lyndon handed it over with a mocking smile but didn't resist. The phone was passed to Alex.

He snatched it and stared at the screen. "Libby, are you really pregnant?"

Libby's eyes lit up when she saw him. "Alex.. Yes. I just found out I'm two months along. It's your child!"

Alex's chest rose and fell. A light flickered in his eyes. "Then why didn't you tell me?"

"I." Libby hesitated, looking down, unease written all over her face.

Alex's face turned cold. "Is it because of my condition? You want to take my child and vanish? Then marry some poor fool who doesn't know better?"

Libby's eyes darted. She shook her head quickly. "No! I just . I haven't figured things out yet."
