Tilda's heart went out to him. "Life's like that sometimes, imperfect for everyone."

Reggie's gaze then turned expectantly toward Rosalynn, waiting for her decision.

Rosalynn, having listened intently, returned his smile. "Your credentials speak for themselves, Mr. Potter. There's no need for second thoughts. You have my approval to proceed with the anime adaptation rights."

Reggie's expression brightened at her words. "You cut right to the chase, Mrs. Hughes. We have a deal. I've brought a contract for you to look over at your convenience. Any issues, we can discuss and resolve."

He then brought out a contract he had prepared in advance.

Brian, taking the document, gave him an approving nod. "Prepared as always. That's how you've propelled your company into the global top 100 so quickly. You really know how to spot an opportunity."

With a broad grin, Reggie responded, "That's quite the compliment, Mr. Hughes. I've always taken inspiration from you-you've been my role model."

"Enough with the pleasantries," Brian said, pushing the document to one side.

Reggie chuckled lightly, shifting his attention to Tilda. "Tilda, given your reputation as one of the leading screenwriters in the country, might you have any availability?"

Tilda was silently impressed by Reggie's accomplishments at such a young age.

His sudden inquiry took her by surprise, and she found herself momentarily at a loss for words.

Undeterred, Reggie continued, "Would you be interested in coming to my branch office to assist in turning Mrs. Hughes " novel into an anime?"

The possibility of working on the anime adaptation at his company lingered in her mind.

Her eyes briefly lit up, yet she remained non-committal.

With a sincere expression, Reggie pleaded, "Having just returned from abroad, I'm quite out of touch with the local market. Your expertise would be invaluable. As old friends, I'm hoping you can support me in this venture."

Tilda was indeed on a sabbatical and could potentially commit.

Yet, there already were several scripts that awaited her decision.

Reading her silence as a sign of her busy schedule, Reggie quickly added, "Naturally, if you're currently occupied, I'm willing to wait. We can always collaborate at a later time."

Tilda glanced up. "Reggie, I need a bit of time to think this through. I'll reach out with my decision."

"Understood," Reggie responded, his eyes showing a warm softness.

Observing from her hospital bed, Rosalynn gave him a probing look, her eyes sharpening with curiosity.

Her extensive experience with personal dynamics led her to suspect there was more to Reggie's look towards Tilda.

Recalling his story about his affection for a married woman, Rosalynn's expression grew pensive.

Might Tilda be the woman Reggie had mentioned? Suddenly, the door opened with a burst.
