Lyndon caught his son's eye in the rearview mirror, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Feeling chilly, buddy? Want me to crank up the heat?"

Sheldon shook his head, his expression serious. "No way, that wastes electricity."

Lyndon laughed, his voice rich with affection. "Do not worry, kiddo. Your dad can cover the bill."

Sheldon folded his arms, undeterred. "Dad, focus! You need to figure out what to cook. Do not embarrass Mom and me!"

Lyndon's shoulders shook with amusement at his son's words. "Little man, you doubt your dad's genius?"

Sheldon puffed out his chest, his voice brimming with pride. "I am not like Mom, all caught up in romance."

Tilda's jaw dropped, her hand flying to her chest in mock offense.

The father and son duo bantered on, their voices weaving a playful rhythm that filled the car.

"Sheldon gets that sharp tongue from Lyndon," Tilda thought, shaking her head.

Genetics were a powerful thing.

The car rolled to a stop outside Reggie's villa, its modern lines glowing under the evening sky.

Corrine and Keanu had just arrived, their car parked nearby.

As Tilda unbuckled Sheldon, Corrine strutted over, her high heels clicking on the pavement. She swooped down and lifted Sheldon into her arms, her smile as bright as sunshine.

"Look at you, little man!" she exclaimed, planting a flurry of kisses on his cheeks. "Taller, stronger-oh, you are growing up too fast!"

Sheldon squirmed, his polite smile straining under the onslaught. "Aunt Corrine, I am too heavy! You will tire yourself out-—put me down, please!"

Corrine had no clue what was really going through Sheldon's mind, believing he was genuinely concerned for her.

"Oh my gosh, Sheldon, you're such a sweet boy! I really hope I can have a child as adorable as you one day," she said with a laugh, pulling him into a quick hug and planting another kiss on his cheek before finally setting him down.

Sheldon wiped his cheek dramatically, then looked over at Keanu.

"Aunt Corrine, everything's gonna work out for you. Mr. Wright might not be as good-looking as my dad, but he's not too bad. Once you two get married, I'm sure your kid will be just as cute as me."

In his mind, he was Corrine's personal Cupid—and he was determined to help her find her happily-ever-after as soon as possible.

Corrine burst out laughing. "Sheldon, you're way too cute."

Keanu looked a little awkward. Seeing Tilda standing there smiling with her husband, so happy and lighthearted, he suddenly felt out of place.

He quickly changed the subject. "Let's go inside."

Tilda looked so content. Maybe... maybe it was finally time for him to let her go.
