Still unmarried. Still waiting.
It was starting to feel like everyone else was moving on— except her.
Keanu cleared his throat. "You're wrong. I want to marry you." Corrine whipped her head around. "Wait-—what did you just say?" He coughed. "If you didn't catch it, forget it."
"No, no-I heard you," she said, eyes wide. "You said you want to marry me!"
Her voice carried-loud enough for a few nearby guests to turn their heads.
Keanu's ears turned pink. "Keep your voice down. You're a famous musician, remember?"
Corrine's eyes crinkled with laughter. Right now, her joy knew no bounds.
"ALL of you, be my witnesses!" she grinned, standing up a little straighter. "He said he's gonna marry me!"
Around them, a few close friends burst out laughing. "We heard it loud and clear!"
"We're ready for the wedding!"
"Congrats, Corrine! You finally locked him down!" Corrine's smile only grew, bright and beaming.
Just then, the emcee announced it was time for the bouquet toss.
Everyone stood, the energy in the room lifting to something loud, joyful, and electric.
Corrine grabbed Keanu's hand, practically bouncing in place. "This is it! If I catch that bouquet, we're next!"
She cupped her hands and shouted toward the stage, "Tilda! Over here!"
Tilda turned, caught her eye, and with a knowing smile, gave the bouquet a confident toss in Corrine's direction.
But she threw it a little too hard. The bouquet shot up. Oh no! Corrine gasped, arms outstretched, heart racing.
It was just out of reach-until Keanu stepped in. With one smooth motion, he jumped, caught the bouquet mid-air, and landed with quiet grace.
Corrine blinked, stunned. Keanu turned to her, smiling gently, and handed it over. "For you."
She took it like it was something sacred, cradling it in her arms, eyes glowing.
"Darling..." she asked, "does this count as a proposal?"
Keanu met her gaze, his voice low and warm. "If you say it does, then it does."
Corrine's eyes glimmered with mischief. "So I get to decide everything now?"
He nodded. "Yup." "Even when we get married?"
Keanu paused for a second, then gave her a soft, steady smile. "Sure. It's all yours."
With a squeal of delight, Corrine threw her arms around his neck and kissed him, bouquet still clutched in one hand.
The crowd erupted in cheers and laughter as flower petals rained from above like confetti.
The moment sparkled—full of love, laughter, and something a little magical.
Because the best thing in the world isn't just finding love -it's being loved back, just as deeply.
Here's to happy endings, and the people brave enough to reach for them.
