26 KIDNAPPED
The next day, Erika woke up because ofthe the sound her alarm clock made. She got up and prepared for work. She left the mansion to get into her car but then a car horn startled her and she jumped.
"OMG Ethan!!! Are you trying to give me aheart attack?" She said with an unhappy look on her face.
"Am sorry about that. Am not trying to giveyou a heart attack but if you need help with your heart, am willing to give you mine", he said while placing his left hand on his chest where his heart was located.
"What are you doing here anyway?" Sheasked not expecting him at all.
"Well, I thought I should drop you off sothat I can get some more points into winning your heart", he said cheekily.
Erika blinked her eyes two times before responding, "you know you don't have to do this".
"But I want to. Now...." he left to go open
the car door for her "if I may". Erika only rolled her eyes and entered. Ethan went back to his seat and drove her to the Walters corporations.
"Thank you", she thanked him.
"You are welcome", he replied."I might notbe able to pick you up later when you get off work, am sorry". He apologized like they were already in a relationship.
"Ethan, you don't have to. I can go homeby myself", she said and open the car door to come out but Ethan stopped her.
"What about a goodbye kiss", he askedwith a smile.
"Sure, how about you kiss my fi st first?"She asked with her fi st ready for action in a teasingly manner.
Ethan's smile froze on his face, "Haha....am sorry. You can go now". And Erika came down from the car heading to the building.
As usual, the employees greeted her andshe responded with a smile until she reached her office. She checked the Hart's and Evans stock market and it has reduced
even more. She was satisfied with the outcome and then dug her head in the files on her desk until it was time to get off work.
She didn't bring her car with her becauseEthan dropped her off and Felix is out in a meeting so she can't borrow his either. She hailed for a taxi but was unfortunate to get one until a black van stopped right in front of her.
She tried moving to the other side but thevan still moved with her, blocking her way. Something was not right, she thought. The van opened and five hoodlums came out hold long sticks and rods with dirty looks on her faces.
Erika ran to the other side of the road andthe hoodlums started chasing her. But it wasn't long until they caught up to her. She twisted the one whose hand caught up with her shoulder and flipped him. Another one with a stick tried hitting her with it but she grabbed it instead and used it to twirl him around not noticing the one with the long rod and he hit her with it and she
immediately fell unconscious on the ground.
The leader spoke, "Geez, she is a toughone and who would have thought that she could fight. Jasmine didn't reveal this information at all."
The one with the ro d spoke, "She tried butshe definitely couldn't fight all of us. Damn! She is really pretty". He licked his dry lips lustfully.
"Will you shut up and pick her up already,there could be CCTV cameras here. Also when we get to the hide out, we will enjoy her properly", the leader spoke lustfully as he also stared at Erika's fair skin.
One of the hoodlums went to go get thevan nearer since they ran quite far away from it while chasing her and they couldn't carry her there either else they might be seen.
They dropped her in the van and zoomed off to their hideout.
The leader called someone on his phone.
"Hello?…… yes we have her now and we are
going to the hideout to complete the task. Why didn't you tell us that she can fight? What? Of course it's true. She beat up two of my men! You didn't know? Look here, I don't care if you knew or not, you are going to pay more money. I have to get my men treated you know. Yes send it there". And he hung up on the call.
Eth an on the other hand has been tryingto call Erika's phone but it's switched off. He decide to wait a while before calling her again and after 2 hours, it was still switched off.
Ethan called Felix up to ask if Erika was home already as he became worried.
"Hey, is Erika home yet?" He asked oncethe call connected.
"Why are you asking? I thought she waswith you," Felix replied from the other line.
"No, she is not with me. I have beencalling her number for a while now but it's switched off", he informed.
"What?" Felix yelled.
