Daniela was completely baffled by Sebastian's words. Sofia's test results were right in front of him, so why was he acting like it was all a figment of her imagination? Was he planning to just brush it off and deny any responsibility?

Looking at the busy street, Daniela suddenly understood. He knew this was a secret he couldn't reveal in public, so he was trying to avoid admitting it here?

"Men," Daniela scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Mr. Romero, don't you see I'm having dinner? I'm not going back. If you want to go, feel free."

She picked up her chopsticks and started eating, as if to prove her point. To her surprise, the spicy hot pot was actually quite delicious.

Daniela narrowed her eyes, taking another bite. "Lucas," she said, "try some. This hot pot is really good."

Lucas chuckled, glancing at Sebastian before joining in.

Sebastian's jaw clenched. "Street food is unsanitary," he snapped. "Put it down!"

His words immediately caught the attention of the owner. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" she retorted. "See this sign?" She pointed to a paper on the wall. "Food Safety Certification! It's issued by the government. It means we're clean!"

"You're just making things up about our hygiene. You're affecting my business. Can you afford to pay for that?"

The owner, a seasoned street vendor, had a booming voice and spoke quickly, firing off a barrage of words. She wasn't afraid of Sebastian's dark look and was ready to kick him out.

Daniela watched the scene unfold, enjoying the drama with no intention of intervening.

Sebastian couldn't take it anymore. With a sharp slap, he slammed a card on the table. "One bowl of hot pot."

A tense silence filled the air.

The owner raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to bully a small business? Who orders hot pot with a credit card?!"

"Get out! Get out! Get out right now!"

"If you weren't in a wheelchair, I'd have chased you out with a broom!"

Seeing Sebastian's humiliation, Daniela couldn't hold back a laugh.

The frustration she had been feeling seemed to melt away.

Why was she still so upset about Sofia and Sebastian?

She pulled out some cash from her purse and handed it to the owner. "These rich kids are just being pretentious. Don't bother with him."

Sebastian frowned. "Who are you talking about?"

Daniela glared at him. "Shut up! If you want to eat, sit down. If not, just leave."

To everyone's surprise, Sebastian actually shut up. The security guard behind him was speechless.

The owner, appeased by the money, no longer bothered with Sebastian. She turned to Daniela, giving her some advice. "You can't show weakness to men, otherwise, they'll walk all over you."

She glanced at Sebastian, then at Lucas. "I think this handsome guy is much better than the one in the wheelchair. Don't go blind."

Sebastian's temples throbbed.

Daniela couldn't help but laugh. She quickly shooed the owner away, then beckoned the security guard to sit down.

The guard shook his head. "No, Madam. I'm on duty. I can't eat."

Daniela smiled. "Come on, sit down. You're so tall, you won't be able to stand for long."

The guard looked at Sebastian for approval.

Sebastian's expression had calmed down somewhat. "Sit down," he said.

The guard hesitantly took a seat.

Sebastian didn't actually want to eat the hot pot. He was just annoyed by the owner's constant nagging.

So, he ignored the disposable chopsticks Lucas handed him and looked at Daniela. "Eat up. Then we're going back."

"Back to where?" she asked, casually eating.

Sebastian couldn't quite articulate his reason. It took him a while before he finally managed to spit out, "Back for your medicine."

Daniela nearly choked on her soup.
