"She's avoiding a plague!"
Sebastian didn't even feel his face burning, only the infuriating way she kept backing away.
He leaned in, pinning Daniela under him again. "You were the one who came at me, why are you dodging?"
Daniela's eyes widened again. "Impossible!"
How could she have gone after him?
But recalling the dream she had before waking up, she felt a sliver of doubt.
After all, she had seen his captivating face before she woke up.
She wouldn't dare in reality, but in a dream, who knows how bold she could be?
Heaven!
Could it be that she actually went after him?
Daniela gritted her teeth. "I was sleepwalking, it doesn't count. Get off me."
As she spoke, Daniela tried to push him away with her legs.
But Sebastian held her down, pushing closer.
Their current posture was both intimate and suggestive.
Daniela's face flushed. "Get off... "
Taking advantage of Daniela's words, Sebastian blocked her lips again.
This time, he pushed forward.
Daniela stared, completely disbelieving that he would actually do this.
Compared to the time she was drunk, this Sebastian, though domineering, was gentle in his movements, slowly guiding Daniela into the abyss of desire.
Daniela was momentarily dazed.
But soon, she came to her senses, reaching out to hit him again.
Sebastian was smarter this time, capturing her hand as she reached out.
He reluctantly withdrew from her lips.
His gaze was deep, as he stared at her quietly. "Don't worry, I won't go any further without your consent."
Suddenly, Daniela felt wronged, her eyes welling up.
All these days, she had been deliberately keeping her distance from him, building a thick wall around her heart, refusing to soften towards him, always facing him with a hardened shell.
Yet, there was one thing she couldn't change.
She loved him.
Deeply loved him.
Six years had gone by in a blink.
She had given him the best, the purest six years of her life.
She couldn't simply stop loving him.
Heaven knows how hard she had tried to hold onto her emotions.
She tried to avoid him, to ignore the pain in her heart.
She pretended not to care.
Sometimes, she even thought that it would have been better if she had never met Sebastian.
Perhaps she would have met someone else, had a few ordinary relationships, and it would have been infinitely better than being stuck in this quagmire like she was now.
Now, how could he disrupt her peace of mind like this?
She didn't want this!
She didn't want it at all!
A tear rolled down Daniela's cheek.
She didn't bother to wipe it away. Instead, she stared at Sebastian with wide eyes, her voice quiet. "Mr. Romero, are you done playing?"
Sebastian had been watching her quietly, not missing a flicker in her eyes. But before he could capture her thoughts, she had already retreated into her detached persona.
That look extinguished the raging desire within him.
He lowered his gaze, gently wiping away Daniela's tears, before getting up. "Alright. I'm not teasing you anymore."
"You're tired too today, get some rest."
Daniela didn't reply.
Sebastian moved his fingers, but said nothing else, turning to leave.
With a "bang," the door closed, leaving the room silent, save for the sound of the wind and rain battering against the windowpanes.
Daniela pulled the blanket tighter around her, staring blankly at the dark window, unable to sleep for a long time.
Outside the door, Sebastian didn't leave. He stood there silently for a long time, then smiled.
She... wasn't completely unmoved.
