Diego's expression shifted at her words, but a sense of deep regret filled him. If it had been the Daniela of the past, there might have been a chance to convince her to keep the shares. But the Daniela of today, he feared, would be impossible to persuade.

Martina, witnessing his distress, couldn't contain her tears. "You promised, you said everything in the family would be left to Andres!" she wailed. "Now you're giving Daniela two hundred million, and now shares! What will be left for Andres? Why don't you just pack the entire Flores Family and give it all to her?"

Diego, his head throbbing from her incessant complaints, retorted, "I never intended to give her that two hundred million." He added, with a hint of frustration, "The shares I discussed with Daniela, I wasn't planning to give her either."

The real problem was Fernanda's demand for a twenty percent stake. Forced into this corner, he knew he had no choice but to concede.

Upstairs, Sofia, exhausted from crying, lay in bed but couldn't sleep. Her eyes stared blankly at the ceiling, filled with a simmering resentment. How had things come to this? She refused to accept it.

She grabbed her phone and dialed Sebastian's number, only to find it went straight to voicemail. Rage surged through her, and she slammed the phone against the floor. It bounced a few times before landing silently a short distance away, miraculously still intact. It even switched on, its ringing echoing through the room.

Sofia scrambled out of bed, her face alight with a mixture of relief and annoyance.

"Hello?" she answered, her voice a mix of hope and desperation.

The other person spoke, and Sofia's face slowly brightened. "Really? She's gone crazy again?"

"Yes, Miss Flores. Since her condition isn't improving, can I... go home?"

Sofia relaxed back into the bed, a smirk playing on her lips. "She's only lost her mind once. What's the rush?"

"But..." The voice on the other end was hesitant. Hadn't they agreed that once Renata started going crazy after the medication change, she could leave?

Sophia, sensing the speaker's apprehension, quickly added, "Daniela is starting to suspect me!"

If she didn't leave soon, it might be too late.

Sofia chuckled, dismissing the concerns. "What are you afraid of? Even if she suspects you, does she have any proof?"

Renata's medication was always administered by the nurse, so any suspicion would never fall on Sophia.

"Keep changing the medication. I want her to go completely insane," she declared.

A shiver ran down Sophia's spine, and she instinctively started to refuse.

But Sofia's voice cut through her hesitation. "I'll give you an extra three million."

For some reason, Sophia fell silent.

Later that night, Daniela, exhausted after Renata's checkup, had fallen asleep on a cot in the hospital room. The clock ticked past one in the morning. When she woke up, she found Sophia already in the room.

"Sophia, so early," she greeted.

Sophia jumped, startled by her sudden appearance. The medicine in her hands clattered to the floor. Daniela looked around but couldn't find the fallen pills. Sophia had already scooped them up, a nervous smile plastered on her face. "Miss Flores is awake. Should I go buy you some breakfast?"

Before Daniela could respond, Merry entered the room, accompanied by Nora, carrying a food box.

"Nora, you're here?" Daniela was surprised.

Nora looked at Daniela's pale complexion, her heart aching with worry. "The old lady heard what happened yesterday and wanted me to come and check on you. I also brought some food," she said, gesturing towards the food box.

Sophia discreetly retreated, sensing the tension. The previous day's events had been rather public, so it wasn't surprising that Fernanda knew about them.

"Thank you both. You've all been so kind," Daniela replied, her heart filled with both gratitude and guilt.

After breakfast, Daniela received a call from Fernanda, summoning her to handle the Flores Group share transfer.
