“Sebastian, let’s not break up, okay?”

Sofia’s voice was full of pleading.

She couldn’t remember how many times she’d begged him like this.

For him, she’d humbled herself to the dust.

But Sebastian seemed indifferent, not even moving an inch.

“We agreed, after the birthday party, we wouldn't contact each other again."

"No, no, no! I don't want that! I regret it. Sebastian, I don't want to break up!"

"Daniela doesn't love you at all. She only married you for Renata! She's just after your money! She's not worth your love!"

"I'm the one who loves you the most in this world!"

Sebastian's brows furrowed tightly.

He wasn’t a particularly patient person, and hearing Sofia’s repetitive words made him inexplicably annoyed.

He pried Sofia's hands open one by one. In the darkness, Sebastian's face took on a touch of coldness: "For old times' sake, I won't hold it against you."

"I've said this many times."

"That drunken night wasn't my intention, the child was an accident. I'm willing to compensate for it."

"I've made my terms clear, you have demands, and I've met them all. But asking me to divorce Daniela is absolutely out of the question."

"You can call me callous or heartless. Just consider this my repayment for you leaving without a word three years ago, and we're even."

This was almost the most he’d ever spoken.

After speaking, Sebastian didn’t wait for Sofia to react, turning towards Juan: “Juan, send her away.”

He turned decisively, without a moment's hesitation.

Sofia gritted her teeth and fainted.

“Miss Flores!”

Juan was startled and rushed over to catch her, but he was too late.

Sofia fell "heavily" to the ground.

Seeing her lying there, seemingly unconscious, Juan looked at Sebastian helplessly: "Mr. Romero…"

Sebastian stopped and glanced sideways, but he couldn't bear to leave her lying in the street.

"Carry her inside. Call a doctor."

Juan breathed a sigh of relief and, following the butler, carried Sofia into the house.

However, even though Sebastian had made these arrangements, he ignored Sofia, going to his study alone, leaving only the butler to watch over her.

Sofia was not actually weak enough to faint. Seeing that Sebastian didn't even care about her illness, she felt another wave of resentment.

Good! Very good!

She'd humbled herself like this, and he still wouldn't turn back.

She only had one last option.

Afraid that the doctor would come and actually discover she wasn't pregnant, Sofia didn't dare stay in bed for long. After pretending for a while, she got out of bed.

The butler had seen Sofia before and quickly stopped her: "Miss Flores, you fainted just now. The doctor is on his way. You should wait until he arrives before getting up."

Sofia forced a smile: "I'm fine. Tell the doctor to go back."

"But…"

Sofia wouldn't listen and was already getting out of bed: "Where’s Sebastian?"

The butler didn't know that Sebastian and Sofia had broken up. He simply said: "Mr. Romero is in his study."

Sofia nodded and went to the study alone, knocking on the door.

"Sebastian, can we talk?"

After a long wait, she heard Sebastian's cool voice: "Come in."

Sofia pushed open the door, meeting his slightly cold gaze, and couldn’t help but give him a pitiful smile.

They’d really reached this point.

How ruthless he was!

Sofia steadied her mind and gave Sebastian a faint smile: "Sebastian, would you accompany me for a walk? I’m a little nostalgic for the coffee we used to drink together."

"Don't worry, this is my last request."
