Riverside Club.

Sofia sat on the sofa with a glass of champagne in her hand, a relaxed expression on her face.

Wallis, her best friend, couldn't help but laugh when she saw her like this: "Daniela's mother died, and you're so happy?"

Sofia chuckled: "Don't talk nonsense, Daniela is my half-sister. It's also very sad for me that her mother passed away."

Wallis Schaefer looked at her insincere appearance and didn't expose her. She said again: "Daniela is very sad now, she definitely doesn't have the energy to keep an eye on Sebastian. Why are you coming to this party instead of seizing the opportunity to go after Sebastian?"

Sofia swirled the wine glass in her hand, seemingly nonchalant: "It's a gathering of international students today, we rarely return to China for a get-together, wouldn't it be a pity if I wasn't here?"

"Besides, am I Sofia, someone who only cares about Sebastian?"

Wallis was slightly stunned after hearing this: "You've given up on Sebastian?"

She knew how much effort Sofia had put in to chase Sebastian. She thought Sofia would take advantage of the situation. Why did it seem like she wanted to give up based on her tone?

Sofia smiled slightly, her eyes lighting up when she saw someone entering the door.

Wallis followed her gaze and saw a man in a white suit walking in.

As soon as he entered, everyone who had been sitting scattered around stood up and gathered around him, greeting him constantly.

The man looked cold, with obvious detachment, but he slightly nodded and walked towards the inside.

Wallis was slightly astonished: "Who is this person? Why does it feel like everyone is flattering him?"

Sofia smiled slightly: "How could they not? He is the second son of the Jones Family, Scott Jones."

Wallis was still confused.

Sofia continued: "You haven't been here long, so you naturally don't know. The international students' association here was founded by the Jones Family."

"They not only provide funding but also help international students find jobs. They are practically their benefactors."

"The money for today's gathering was also paid by the Jones Family."

Wallis instantly understood, her gaze towards Scott filled with a hint of eagerness, but she saw Scott walking straight towards them.

Scott stopped in front of Sofia, the coldness on his face vanished, replaced by a hint of surprise: "I heard you came back to China, I didn't expect to see you here."

Sofia chuckled: "We international students rarely gather, I definitely had to come. But Scott, how come you're here?"

Scott furrowed his brows slightly: "I've told you, call me Scott. Our relationship doesn't need to be so distant."

They had known each other during their studies abroad. Sofia had once helped him a lot.

Because of his stop, many people's eyes were focused on the two of them.

Scott was a little annoyed, but there wasn't a trace of annoyance in his gaze towards Sofia: "Let's find a place to have a drink together?"

Sofia didn't refuse, bidding farewell to the slightly dazed Wallis, she followed Scott into the private room under the envious gazes of everyone.

After pouring a glass of wine for Sofia, Scott sighed: "You suddenly returned to China before, I thought I wouldn't see you again. I didn't expect to meet you here today."

Sofia pulled a strand of hair behind her ear, revealing her delicate ear. The sparkling diamond earrings were visible, constantly attracting people's attention.

Scott was a little distracted by it.

As if embarrassed by his staring, Sofia turned her head, her face slightly flushed.

Scott realized he was being abrupt and quickly looked away. But he heard Sofia softly say: "Meeting you today isn't an accident."

Scott was slightly taken aback.

Sofia said: "If I said, I came here today specifically to wait for you?"
