"Sophia, Miss Flores wants to see you."

Standing at the door were the two who had been keeping an eye on the Hudson Family. Their gaze fell on Sophia, and they were slightly surprised by the wound on her face.

York exchanged a glance with his son and sat quietly in the living room.

Sophia's heart skipped a beat, momentarily unsure if they were talking about Daniela or Sofia.

"Which… which Miss Flores?"

The man raised an eyebrow. "It seems like Sophia knows quite a few Miss Flores."

Sophia shuddered.

"It's… it's Daniela."

Upon hearing it was Daniela, Sophia trembled even harder.

She gripped the doorknob tightly, preventing herself from collapsing. "I've already quit my job at the hospital, and I've done all the necessary handover. I have nothing to say to Miss Flores. Please tell her not to come looking for me again."

With that, she slammed the door shut with a bang.

The people outside hadn't expected her to be so quick, and they were caught off guard. The door was already closed, and now they could only continue knocking.

"Sophia, please open the door. Miss Flores knows the truth and has already called the police. You can't hide."

Sophia's face turned pale upon hearing this.

She was terrified, her voice trembling as she hissed, "I don't know what you're talking about! Will you leave or not? If you don't leave, I'll go find the village chief and have you chased away."

The two outside seemed to be threatened by her words and immediately stopped.

Everything went quiet.

Sophia waited for a while longer, and when she realized there was truly no sound, she collapsed onto the floor, dejected.

She suddenly felt regretful, regretting taking such a heartless action for money.

It was a human life!

"No, no… it's not my fault. The medicine I switched out could only make Renata unconscious. Her waking up has nothing to do with me."

"It wasn't me who killed her! It wasn't me!"

Sophia muttered to herself, abruptly getting up and returning to the room, locking the door behind her.

She took out her phone and dialed Sofia's number.

Sofia's lazy voice came through on the other end. "Hello, who is this?"

She hadn't even bothered to save Sophia's number.

Sophia didn't think much of it and hurriedly said, "Daniela! Daniela knows about me switching the medicine!"

Sofia sat up abruptly on the bed. "What are you saying?"

She glanced at her phone. "You're Sophia? What do you mean? Explain yourself."

Sophia took a deep breath and said, "Someone is watching my house. They said Daniela has already reported it to the police, and they said Daniela wants to see me."

Sofia slightly tightened her grip on the phone. "What did you tell them?"

Sophia said, "I didn't say anything."

Sofia breathed a sigh of relief. Then she heard Sophia say, "Miss Sofia, what should I do? I just followed your instructions and switched the medicine, I didn't do anything else."

"Renata's death has nothing to do with me."

Sofia let out a cold laugh in her heart, nonchalantly saying, "Don't talk nonsense. When did I tell you to switch the medicine? Besides, who said it was you who switched it? Do they have any evidence?"

"If they had evidence, do you think you'd still be able to call me? The police would have already taken you away."

"Just, keep your mouth shut."

Sophia was stunned, then she understood.

Right, she switched the medicine while avoiding the surveillance cameras. As long as she didn't admit it, no one could prove it was her.

Sophia's tense body slowly relaxed.

On the other end, Sofia hung up the phone, feeling a bit annoyed as she threw her phone onto the bed.

Daniela had quite the ability, she had actually managed to find out about Sophia so quickly, she had underestimated her.

The medicine was bought from the black market overseas, no one had any evidence that it was her.

Daniela wanted to get justice for Renata?

Humph, she could only dream.

However, Sophia was indeed a problem.

She needed to think carefully.

Sofia's eyes narrowed slightly.
