Daniela had been expecting this and had already moved her phone far away. After Antonia finished speaking, she said with a hint of grievance, "Mom, you know I don't have any money, how can I afford anything good?"
Antonia paused for a moment before saying, "Ultimately, it's because your Flores Family is so unrefined. You really think that a married daughter is like spilled water, not even giving her a dowry. How shabby."
Daniela didn't respond.
Antonia continued, "If you don't have money to buy anything, that's fine. But it's Cline's birthday, you can't not give her a gift."
Daniela slowly drew a question mark on her forehead.
"Didn't your mother paint a lot of paintings before she got sick? Just give her one."
Daniela suddenly felt a surge of anger, but more so was confusion.
Antonia and Cline didn't like her, a big reason was because they thought Renata had mental illness.
They were ashamed of it.
Why would they want Renata's paintings for no reason?
And, this was too sudden.
Who had said something to them?
Just as Antonia's own words had been delivered, she directly hung up the phone.
Daniela was speechless.
Hearing a noise outside, she remembered the black card from Sebastian that she had brought back yesterday, and a thought came to her mind.
She opened the door and said to Sebastian who was still packing up, "Cline's birthday gift, have you prepared it?"
Sebastian saw her looking pale and was annoyed, "You're about to die, and you're still trying to do favors. Don't think that by trying to please Cline, you can erase what you did yesterday."
Daniela would have really punched him if she wasn't weaker.
"Then should we get a divorce now? If we're divorced, I won't have any reason to please her."
When it came to divorce, Sebastian's anger was even greater, "If you want a divorce, why did you have to make a big fuss and alarm grandma?"
Fernanda had called him in the middle of the night, first scolding him, then showing pity for Daniela, and finally said, "Your certificates are all with me. You want a divorce, no way!"
Daniela felt guilty towards Fernanda and slightly lowered her eyes, "I didn't mean to alarm her."
Sebastian sneered, "Hypocritical."
Seeing Daniela's bad mood, Sebastian's anger subsided a bit.
"Grandma took the certificates. If you want a divorce, go find her and ask for them."
He said, ignoring Daniela's surprised look, and walked away with his things.
Nora happened to be delivering breakfast and said, "Young Master is leaving already? Not having breakfast?"
Sebastian didn't have a good face for this aunt who had taken care of him since childhood, "No!"
"Bang!" The door slammed shut as he left.
Nora was startled and looked at Daniela inexplicably, "What's wrong with the Young Master, did he eat gunpowder?"
"Or, did he fight with Madam again?"
She asked the last sentence cautiously.
Daniela gave her a deep look, "The divorce certificates are gone, he's in a hurry."
Nora was stunned and smiled awkwardly, "This... Old Madam's instructions, I can't do anything about it."
Of all the people in the house, only Nora went in and out, so naturally she took the certificates.
Daniela sighed.
How hard is it to get a divorce?
If this drags on, her belly won't be able to hide it.
Daniela ate breakfast with a heavy heart, got her injection, went to the mall and spent ten million to buy Cline a gift before taking it to the villa.
"Sebastian said Cline's birthday, painting is not good-looking, jewelry is more suitable."
Antonia's anger towards Daniela's disobedience subsided when she saw the large diamond on the jewelry.
"You have a conscience, after all."
Daniela's eyes flashed, but she didn't say anything.
She wanted to ask Antonia why she suddenly had a mind for Renata's paintings, but she had finally covered things up, and it was unnecessary to bring it up again.
Soon, it was time for Cline's birthday party.
