Daniela was released from the police station after Andres paid a fine, but she had no idea how Diego managed it. Martina received the certificate of acquittal and the will as she had wished and readily signed the divorce agreement.

After the divorce, Diego held a press conference, claiming Patrick back and blaming Martina's jealousy and revenge against her ex for the whole incident. He explained that Martina was upset because her ex's son had returned and could inherit the family business, and that she had targeted Daniela, a "soft touch," to retaliate.

Everything had a reasonable explanation, and Diego only bore the blame for negligence. He also arranged for Patrick to intern at Flores Group. Suddenly, the company's reputation improved significantly, and its stock, which had been plummeting, finally began to recover.

Daniela was undergoing a glucose tolerance test when she received the news. Having fasted since early morning, she felt nauseous after drinking the sugary water and leaned back on the chair with a blank expression. Sebastian had accompanied her during the previous checkup, but this time she was alone. It was even more uncomfortable than before, and she had to move to the window for some air.

Her phone was filled with messages asking about Patrick. Daniela felt unwell and didn't want to answer, so she ignored them.

After receiving the test results, Daniela, still feeling unwell, didn't go to Vic Fashion Design Studio but went back to Lu Shan International.

Coincidentally, Fernanda visited Sebastian that day. However, he refused to let her in, gave her the code to Daniela's house, and had someone bring a chair outside.

The grandmother and grandson were talking through the door.

"There's no need to be like this," Daniela said, unable to hold back.

Fernanda didn't care and, seeing Daniela return, greeted her, "Why do you look so pale?"

Daniela explained that she had gone for a glucose tolerance test that morning.

Knowing Daniela was pregnant, Fernanda had specifically inquired about it and knew how uncomfortable the test could be. She quickly pulled Daniela into the house.

"Come sit down. I asked Nora to make some soup, have a bowl to fill your stomach." She pulled Daniela into the house as she spoke.

Sebastian watched them from behind, wanting to say something to Daniela but unable to. He simply moved his stool to the door of Daniela's house and watched them through the door.

Daniela was speechless.

"You might as well come in," she said.

Sebastian pursed his lips and didn't move.

Daniela ignored him and sat down to drink the chicken soup Nora had made.

After a few sips, she couldn't drink anymore. Her stomach was getting bigger, and she could only eat a little bit of anything.

However, the soup warmed her up, and her complexion improved. Fernanda finally breathed a sigh of relief and paused before mentioning the Flores Group news that morning.

"I knew you were looking for your brother, and thank goodness he's been found."

Daniela was slightly taken aback.

She hadn't told anyone in the Romero family about it.

However, it wasn't surprising that Fernanda knew.

Fernanda sighed softly, "Your father taking Patrick back is a good thing. He is a Flores Family child after all, so giving him an identity is only right. You don't have to mind too much."

She was worried that Daniela would be unhappy about Patrick returning to the Flores Family.

Daniela just smiled and didn't explain.

Fernanda exchanged a glance with Sebastian, unsure what Daniela was thinking.

Daniela suddenly said, "The Flores Group news was such a big deal last time, it was actually Grandma who was behind it, right?"

Fernanda didn't hide it from her and nodded. "But do you want me to retract it?"

After all, Patrick was her long-lost brother.

If he wanted to return to Flores Group, Fernanda would have to consider Daniela's feelings.

However, Daniela shook her head. "No need. Do whatever you want, don't consider me."

Fernanda was stunned.
