"No way!"
Martina blurted out.
Five million was what Sofia wanted, not her.
If her treatment fees were stopped, how would she survive?
Diego's eyes narrowed slightly, "Martina, you weren't such a greedy person before."
"You weren't such a vicious person before either!" Martina retorted without hesitation, "Diego, let me tell you, this five million is my hush money. You have to give it to me, whether you want to or not."
"Also, you have to pay for my chemotherapy! As long as I'm alive, you have to pay."
"Otherwise, I can't guarantee I won't say anything!"
Diego looked at her, and after a while, he suddenly laughed.
"You don't think these things can really threaten me, do you?"
Martina wanted to speak, but Diego raised his hand to stop her.
"But, it doesn't matter. Let me think about it."
"You're lying in the hospital now, even if you get better, you can't get out. Even if I give you five million, you won't have anywhere to spend it."
"So, this five million isn't for you. It's for… Sofia?"
"Sofia escaped and has no money. So, this five million is what Sofia wants, am I right?"
"Where is she?"
Martina pursed her lips, remaining silent.
Diego narrowed his eyes, "It's okay if you don't say. She's my daughter, and I can't afford to not give her some money."
"But, blackmailing me like this, I'll just ignore it this time for my daughter's sake."
"If there's a next time…"
Diego's cold gaze fell on Martina, who shivered at his stare.
"I don't mind personally sending her back to the mental hospital."
Martina trembled, looking at Diego in disbelief.
Diego didn't say anything more, but instead flipped through the files on the side.
"Sofia is in a tough spot now, she probably won't have a chance to check these things out, right? Do you know where she got these things?"
Martina paused for a moment, then chuckled, "You think Sofia got these things?"
Diego, that cunning bastard, is really smart!
Diego remained silent.
Martina said, "Sofia has been hiding from that b*tch Daniela, she hasn't had a chance to investigate this kind of stuff."
"Daniela sent these things."
"Diego, she knows about all the rotten things you've done! You're going to be ruined!"
Diego's heart sank when he heard that Daniela had sent them.
He wasn't worried about these things being in Martina or Sofia's hands.
These two didn't have the means to get out of his grasp.
But if it was Daniela, it was a different story.
But why did Daniela get these things and give them to Martina?
What was she trying to do?
"What did she tell you?"
Martina snorted, "Want to know? Give me the money, and I'll tell you."
Diego's expression darkened slightly.
Martina felt a sense of relief at his reaction.
She had been suppressed by Diego all night, and now she finally had a chance to control him, which naturally made her feel better.
Seeing her like this, Diego knew he wouldn't get any answers, so he didn't ask any more questions and got up to leave.
He didn't even look at the files on the table, let alone take them.
These things were useless.
"Hey Diego, when will you transfer the money?" Martina got out of bed and leaned her head out to ask.
Diego didn't stop walking and simply said, "The money will be in your account tomorrow."
Martina finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Back in his car, Diego pondered for a long time before making a call, "Help me send someone to Southeast Asia."
"Yes, don't come back."
Daniela having the files didn't matter.
As long as the doctor from the clinic was gone, there would be no witnesses, and it would all be in vain.
