Thus, when everyone thought Iris was roaming around the forest and started to look outside of the cave, because the forest was so vast and they had to cover as much ground as they could to find her, the alpha stayed in his position. He stared at the cave.
Cane walked toward the cave and started to scrutinize everything around here.
He approached the spot where she was sleeping and only found a cloak that she used to sleep. Her scent was so strong here, but based on this, instead of going out, she went deeper into the cave.
Cane narrowed his eyes, as he followed her soft and delicate scent deeper into the
cave.
It was not so hard to find her, but the intricated path that he took to reach her made Cane furrowed his brows. Why Iris lost herself here in the first place? Why would she roam around when everyone was sleeping?

“This is not the path…” Iris grumbled. “We need to go back soon, or else they will leave me in this cave.” She was almost crying, her legs were hurt because she roamed around this places for who knew how long.
She was afraid that they would leave her behind once they found out that she was not in the cave and didn’t bother to find her.
Redmond probably would look for her, but what about the others, would he manage to find her here when it was already so hard for her to remember, which path that she
took.
“That’s why, why are you running away?” The little lizard perched on her head, hiding in her curls, it was hard to see it if you didn’t take a closer look, since her auburn, curly hair and the color of the lizard was almost the same. “Now we are lost…”

Iris was shocked to know that this little fella could breathe fire, though it was not enough to cause injury, but of course this was something that none of them had anticipated.
Cane took a step back, but the range that this little lizard could reach was too short to reach him, thus with one swift move, he grabbed the little thing into his palm and was about to squeeze it to death.
However, Iris cried in alarm when she saw the killing intent in his dark eyes, she immediately grabbed his hand.
“No! No! No!” Iris shook her head profusely, which made Cane puzzled and it was enough to make him stopped what he was about to do, yet he didn’t let go of this creature. “This is the fire magic stone!” Iris blurted out, because she didn’t know how else she could explain this.
“Fire magic stone?”
Iris nodded, she was still holding his hand, while the little lizard was struggling to free itself from his grip. It tried to shoot fire to Cane, but it couldn’t reach him at all, while he could feel the heat from the creature, it was not enough to do harm on him.

“Magic stone is an egg?” Cane found himself hard to believe it after he heard what Iris
had said, he looked at her in disbelieve.
“Please, let it go, the lizard is harmless.”
“So, this is a lizard?”
Iris looked doubtful when she answered him. “I don’t know… but, it looks like one.”
Cane looked at the little fella in his grip that kept trying to burn him. So much of a
harmless creature.
“Alpha, the lizard only attack because it thought that you will harm me.”
“You can talk with this thing?” Cane’s confusion only grew more and more unexplainable.
“It is not that I can communicate with this lizard…” Iris dragged on her words, as if she was not sure how to explain this. “This is almost like how I can find those magic stones, I just feel it and know it.”
Cane was silence, he looked at the lizard that kept trying to wriggle it little body, while breathing fire at him, but then he released the little creature.
He watched it shot fire at his palm, but then jumped onto Iris’s shoulder and hid in her auburn hair, buried in her curls.
