552 THE BOND WAS GETTING STRONGER

Iris didn't have any idea if you could do it during your monthly circle, but then she was rather clueless and was so blind about this kind of thing.

Iris bit her lip lightly, thinking what she wanted, but it was hard to decided and think clearly when her mind was so dirty and her desire for her mate clouded her decision.

Iris believed it when Cane said she was beautiful and adorable, she believed it when Cane said she smell so good and how he desired her. She believed him when he said he enjoyed the moment they shared together.

Even though, there was moment when his control slipped and he became a little bit rough with her, but then he immediately realized it and made sure she was fine.

Cane thought his heart had been hardened, he thought it had turned into a solid stone, but later on, he learned that it was broken and it was how Iris found a way to enter his heart. Because light wouldn't be able to come in if there was no crack, right?

It was not easy when he was with her, either it was the relationship between them, or the situation that surrounded them.

There was a long journey ahead of them and Cane didn't wish to tread this path with no one else, but her.

Cane leaned over and kissed her bare shoulder. "Thank you," he whispered softly and genuinely.

Only when the noise from outside grew a little bit louder as they prepared to leave before the sunrise, Cane reluctantly left the carriage and put the blanket over Iris's body.

He walked toward the white bear and stared at the creature, which was still sleeping soundly on the ground. Its fur had turned brown because of dirt and it looked so pitiful.
