558 THE FABRICATION STORY
"Do you know Decratic?" Actually, Koda wasnot sure what he was talking about, but this was Cane's instruction and his pointers made things easier for them, thus he followed this one as well. "I bring the body of the dead royal warrior that had been inflicted by dark magic before their death. You may check." 1
"What do you mean? How do you knowabout Decratic?" Abby stood up from her seat. The matter about Decratic was not something that people outside of the Holy Kingdom to know, or else it would cause a ruckus and the practice of the black magic would go out of hand.
The matter in this continent was way more serious than they thought.
On the other hand, Koda was also surprised to see Serafim's strong reaction. What kind of secret and information that the alpha from the Howling Wolf pack held? How hecould gather so much resources when he just managed to free himself and his people less than a year ago?
Despite what he felt, Koda kept his calm, alpha Colter also didn't show anything on his expression, as if they were talking about a trivial matter.
"Explain yourself!" Abby said sternly, herblue eyes lit up impatiently because Koda stopped talking without explaining how he knew about Decratic.
Feigning frustration, Kod a sighed deeply, as if he was very reluctant to talk about this. "My dear grandson was killed by the lycanand as it turned out he was being sacrificed for the resurrection of Decratic. The five alphas in the south joined hand with the crown prince to su mmon the lycan, thankfully, alpha Cane managed to stop them and execute them all before there is more sacrifices."
Abby and the other had heard about the lycan, but Koda's explanation didn't answer her question. He only gave unnecessary de tail about what happened in the south. "How does it relate to the fact that vouknow about Decratic?" Abby narrowed her eyes, her whole body was so tensed.
"When I was in the palace, I heard about theconversation between prince Alan and Lady Cyan, they were talking about summoning the lycan and the resurrection of the Decratic. Because I was a little bit too far, I can't hear their conversation so well, but one sentence that stuck with him was when lady Cyan said; we need to kill the Serafim in order to resurrect the Decratic. And prince Alan replied that he would lure you to come to this continent." 1
The five knights behind the Serafim clenched their jaws and grinded their molars. It was a threat for the Serafim and if it was proven right, the Holy Kingdom had every right to execute the king for the intention alone.
A Serafim was the most important person in this realm, since she was the only person, who held such immense power, which was not limited by magic stone. All the magic user needed magic stone to support their power, but it didn't happen with the Serafim. She was an embodiment of justice and kindness for this world , the balance for Decratic, as both entities stood on the other side of the scale. You need to keep the scale was in balance in order for this realm to be able to work.
"However, just like you see, everythingseemed not to go according to their plan and now this happened, the kingdom has been split. There are two powers." Koda didn't need to give a long explanation about who the two powers were, since in his eyes, his enemy was only those in the capital city and with a lot of aid that alpha Cane gave to them, of course, he assumed he was on their side.
But, the question was; did Koda really overhear the conversation between lady Cyan and prince Alan? Of course, the answer was 'no'. The story was fabricated and the mastermind behind it was absolutely not Koda or alpha Colter.
Cane wanted to know more about the Decratic because it was getting hard to have a conversation with Haco, since he forgot a lot of things and because he hadleft the Holy Kingdom for long, it was difficult to recall many things and keep tab on what happened there during the period of five decades, since he left.
But, once again, Cane displayed how cunning he could be because he didn't have the question served by himself, instead he used Koda, making it appeared as if he knew all of those things, so when there was a repercussion, it wouldn't be Cane, who would take the brunt.
"Serafim, I am not here to cloud yourjudgment, but I feel like I have an obligation to tell you the truth about what happened in this continent." After such advance, Koda retreated, so he wouldn't appear too hard on these people from the Holy Kingdom.
After all, Koda had lived through a lot of adversity, he knew how to handle a situation like this. You have to know when to retreat, it was as important as to know when you have to advance.
"I want justice for my grandson that hadbeen killed brutally for the sacrifice for the lycan and for my great grandson's right. Hewas crowned by the previous king as the next in line for the throne on the six days he was born. You are the justice for this realm and I am here looking for one."
Koda played his role as a loving grandfather, who only wanted justice and made things right. He then added more to show how benevolent he was.
"I don't care, who will sit on the thronenow, as long as its not the son of the dark witch, the same person, who has lured a Serafim to this continent to kill her, in order to resurrect the Decratic."
Abby narrowed her eyes. She didn't say anything for a while. "Do you know Decratic is?" She was not sure how much this shifter knew about the information that should be guarded closely in the Holy Kingdom.
"I am not sure, but if I can say, Decratic isthe opposite of you." Cane had prepared this answer for him. "Enlighten me if I am wrong."
Of course, Abby wouldn't give him an explanation. She didn't say that was right or wrong, even though there were a lot ofmissing point in Koda's story.
Killing a Serafim wouldn't resurrect the Decratic, that was not how it worked, but the fact Koda knew a lot of things that he shouldn't, was enough to make Abby thought about this matter deeply and took it seriously.
"We need to put an end to a tyrantsovereign. Having people, who practice dark magic to sit on the throne is a disaster."
Koda aimed was clear. He wanted to get all the support he needed, especially after his defeat and having the Holy Kingdom on their corner was perfect.
The ambush attack by the Silver Warrior didn't leave any casualties on the Howling Wolf pack warrior, but the member of the Silver River pack that happened to be there had to sustain serious wounds, especially children and because their healing ability had not yet developed well, thus Grace had to come to cast healing power on them, or else, they would die because of the bloodlost.
When Iris heard that, she was so worried and wanted to come and see herself that Cane was alright, but Aliana didn't allow her, because there was a high chance there would be a second attack and Cane would go ballistic if he saw his mate was in the middle of the chaos. Aliana didn't even want to imagine how the alpha lost it on them.
In the end, Iris understood and waited not so patiently in the pack house.
Currently, they lived in the pack house of the Silver River pack. This building looked very luxurious and show off how well alpha Gian was, despite his pack's member lived in poverty and was barely able to feed their stomach in day on day basic.
Iris sitting on the lower stairs, as she waited for Cane, staring at the door and when she listened to the sound of hooves beat, she immediately stood up and rushed toward the front door and found Cane just dismounted his horse.
Without thinking twice, Iris immediately rushed toward him and hugged him tightly, she almost knocked the alpha off.
Thankfully, even in his subconsciousness, he didn't feel Iris's presence was a threat, so her sudden action didn't alert him.
If it was someone else, he would have attacked them without even thinking twice or figure out who it was.
"Are you, okay?" Iris asked, she lifted herhead and checked on Cane. She didn't see any injuries, though there was bloodstain, but over all he was fine.
"Don't you think you ask the wrongperson?" Ethan asked, he dismounted his horse beside Cane's. "Such battle is nothing for the alpha. You should have asked me instead." 2
Iris frowned at Ethan, but she saw he was fine, tough a little bit messed up, but he was fine, alive and a little bit annoying.
"I am fine," Cane said, as he put his armaround her hips and escorted her into the pack house again. "Don't go out. It's not safe out there." The Silver Warrior had become a headache now. Cane was considering to leave this pack and start their journey to Diandem pack and see if that pack worth to be saved, since there was nothing to be reconsidered here.
