Iris woke up early in the morning and immediately found out Cane was not sleeping in the bedroom, because the side of her bed was still so neat, there was no trace of him whatsoever. She had been so used to wake up to him, thus it felt so strange when she found herself was alone 1again.

Instead, it was Aliana, who greeted her.

"Don't give me that disappointed look,"Aliana said, pouting her lips to feign being angry with Iris for giving her such look. "Don't be too disappointed, the alpha washere last night to check on you when you were sleeping..."

"Why he didn't wake me up? Why he didn'tstay?" Iris cut Aliana's explanation. If Cane came over, why he didn't stay and leave immediately?

"Luna, the alpha needs to take care about alot of things, he changed the plan all of sudden and there were a lot of members ofthis pack that need to be treated after the attack. I am very sure the alpha really wanted to spend the night with you." Aliana winked at Iris, but it didn't lift her spirit. 1

Iris knew she became so childish and demanded too much, but she couldn't help it, the feeling of being abandoned crept in her heart. She could say, it was not the feeling she wished for anyone to feel. The level of anxiety she felt was insane to think Cane didn't want her anymore.

"Where is Cane?"

"I think the alpha is with Ethan now, theyare overlooking this pack and strengthen the territory around the pack house."

"I want to see him," Iris stated, in that case,Aliana couldn't stop her from leaving.

"Okay, but you still need to have yourbreakfast, okay." Aliana helped Iris to clean herself and get ready for the day.

However, Aliana was clueless with what to do with Iris's hair, aside from from styling it into a half bun.

"You don't know?" Aliana was surprisedwhen she asked how to style her hair like the previous day. "Who did it then?"

"Cane did it," Iris said casually, because thatwas the truth. Before, Hanna would help Iris with her hair and recently, Cane had been such an expert when it came to her hair, he styled her hair better than Iris could. 1

"The alpha did it?!" Aliana was shockedwhen she learned about it. Ethan must have left this de tail in his exaggerated story, or maybe his story was not exaggerated at all. "He did your hair?" 1

Iris looked at Aliana over the mirror in front of her and watched how her jaw dropped in disbelieve. 1

"How could you make the alpha do it?"

"I didn't do anything." Iris shook her head.

"When did he start do it for you?"

Iris tried to think about that. "We spent some time on our way back to the Riverside pack and I think he was bored because it was only the two of us, so he did my hair."That explanation didn't help with Aliana's shock, if anything, she became even more speechless. Never she would imagine the alpha was so bored out of his mind and was very idle to learn how to style his mate's hair.

"The alpha must have loved you so much forhim to put such an effort." 1

It was a small thing, but you would be able to see how much that person loved you through small things they put their effort into to make your life easier.

Iris grimaced when she heard that. "Cane never said that he loves me," she confided to Aliana. She had never talked about her feeling to someone else, not even with Hanna, because of the way she positioned herself in Iris's life.

Hanna cared for her and there was no doubt in that statement, but Hanna would never be Iris's friend, she would take care of her and always saw her as her 'missy', whiệwith Aliana it was different. 1Aliana could be a big sister that she had never had and some time, she would be this mischievous friend with wild imagination, which made Iris felt so giddy to hear her crazy thought or how she complained about the warriors and reprimanded them. 1

It felt so refreshing to have Aliana around, while she also taught Iris to know more about the Howling Wolf pack, something that Cane had never done before, since he had a lot of things in his hands.

"Luna," Aliana said gently. "You must havenoticed by now, the alpha will talk more and explain thing into a certain detail, something that he wouldn't do to any of us. Do you know how Ethan threw a tantrum because he said the alpha played favorite, since he always answered your question, but not his?"

Iris giggled when she heard how Aliana was roasting on Ethan so casually.

"The alpha is not good to explain his feeling,but his action must have told you as clear asday how precious you are to him." Aliana ended up put Iris's hair into a half bun. 1

Deep down, Iris knew about that, she felt it whenever Cane tried to make things easier for her and how he compromised a lot. Even though, she still wanted to hear how he said those words, but she thought, she would be content with it right now. Aliana's words lit up her spirit a little bit.

"Oh, luna, I think it will be fine if you were alittle bit bold," Aliana said again with this mischievous smile on her lips. "You know that the alpha has been stressed out lately and I think you can cheer him up."

"How?" Iris was listening attentively, ifAliana had an idea how to cheer Cane, she was willing to do anything, not to mention her guilty feeling was still lingering.

Aliana winked at her. "This is the thing that only you can do it," she said secretively.

"Only me?" Iris frowned.

"Oh, luna..." Aliana grimaced when sherealized how innocent the luna was. "That 'thing', you can make him feel better."

"What 'thing'?" Iris became frustrated, shenarrowed her eyes, became impatient. 2

"Some time, you need to take the initiative.I don't know with the alpha, but I think some men like it." And when Aliana realized Iris still couldn't get it, she lowered her head and whispered to her ear and whatever she said made Iris's face turned red and Aliana had the audacity to laugh at her upon seeing her reaction.

"Aliana!" Iris wanted to cry out ofembarrassment, while she didn't stop laughing. 1

"Serafim, this is my poor great grandson..."Koda didn't waste his time, the moment the Serafim arrived at his pack along with her entourage after they managed to pass the territory, he immediately took her to his great grandson's nursery room. "He is being cursed by the dark magic user in the palace!""We just arrived, can't you wait until wetake a rest for a while?" Liam protested, but Abby stopped him.

"Let me see your great grandson," Abby said.She walked gracefully, as she entered the nursery room and met with princess Laluna and the baby in her arms.
