Remington shot a glance at Dotson and replied, “If you bring him along, my father will probably just lock you in the manor."

Hannah looked at Remington, a hint of challenge in her voice. “You said you wanted to cooperate with me, but now you can't even ensure the safety of your partner. Do you still want my help investigating this matter?"

Both Remington and Conor were silent for a moment. Finally, Remington broke the quiet, his voice firm. “I'll arrange for someone to ensure your safety. You don't need to worry about anything else. As for my father, I'll handle it myself."

After saying that, Remington glanced at Dotson and added, “Well, as for him. I can't guarantee his safety."

Dotson shrugged. "You don't need to worry about my safety. Just make sure you send more people to protect my boss. If anything happens to my boss in the manor, I will make sure your entire family suffers, even if it means risking my life!"

Hannah patted Dotson on the shoulder and smiled. “Hey, don't keep putting your life at risk. You're too valuable for that. Let's get out of here first."

Once they stepped outside, the temperature gradually returned to a more comfortable level. Not wanting to dwell on her concerns any longer, Hannah decided to follow Remington directly to the manor.

She hadn't anticipated returning so soon, but as she sat in Remington's car today, she was relieved to see that they weren't stopped by anyone outside.

However, as soon as Hannah stepped out of the car, she found herself surrounded by a crowd of people.

The man at the forefront turned to Remington and said, "Sir, your father wishes to see you."

Then he turned his gaze to Hannah and added, "You too."

At that moment, Remington stepped in front of Hannah, his expression cold as he addressed the man. “I'll speak to my father myself. I'LL make everything clear. This is none of your concern."

As soon as he finished speaking, Conor and Rodrigo positioned themselves around Hannah, forming a protective barrier to prevent anyone from taking her away.

Noticing the stalemate, the man hesitated, unwilling to provoke Remington. Reluctantly, he stepped back, allowing them to leave first.

Once they were outside, Conor led Hannah to the villa, ensuring she felt safe as they walked.

As they walked along the path, Rodrigo couldn't resist a sarcastic remark. “If it weren't for Mr. Lyons, I wouldn't be protecting you at all! I really don't understand what Mr. Lyons is thinking, inviting you here like this."

Rodrigo continued, shaking his head, "I used to be against you, and now I'm stuck being your bodyguard. It's so unfair!"

Hannah scoffed, her tone laced with sarcasm. "If you're feeling so aggrieved, you don't have to protect me. You said you used to be against me, but I only remember you losing completely and being unable to fight back."

"You!" Rodrigo's expression soured, his pride wounded.

Conor, who walked beside him, cast a sideways glance at Rodrigo.

"You'd best mind your words. Miss Moore is here at Mr. Lyons’ behest. It would do you no good to offend her in his absence. Imagine the explanations you'll owe when he returns!"

“Humph !"

Rodrigo could only shoot a resentful glare at Hannah before reluctantly sealing his lips and trailing behind her.

Conor turned to Hannah with an apologetic smile. "Please, Miss Moore, don't take him to heart. That's just his way."
