"No! It was all because Lemira showed up and ruined everything!" Sophia

screamed. "Even if he didn't love me, the arranged marriage meant he would have married me! We might even have kids by now!"

Lemira had destroyed it all. Sophia was fundamentally incapable of seeing her own faults.

Mrs. Amanda let out an exhausted sigh. "Sophia, I will offer you this one last time. I will send you abroad, far away from all of this."

"But if I leave, the Sinclair Group will go bankrupt!"

Seeing the calculated greed hiding beneath Sophia's pitiful tears, Mrs. Amanda felt nothing but disgust. "You want too much. I cannot give it to you."

It was only now that Mrs. Amanda fully understood how the Sinclair women viewed her-as nothing more than an ATM and a tool. If only she had realized it years ago. Perhaps Orion wouldn't have been caught in their traps, and maybe he and Lemira wouldn't have suffered so much. It was her fault for dragging her son down.

She looked at the security guards standing nearby. "Escort Ms. Sinclair out. And make sure she is never allowed on this floor again."

"Mrs. Amanda, you can't abandon me! If you're willing to pay for me to go abroad, why can't you just invest that money into the Sinclair Group so we can survive?"

Sophia couldn't comprehend it. A financial bailout was chump change for the Everhart family.

Lemira looked at her with pure disdain. "The appetite of your family is horrifying. Anyone who calls you a friend is cursed for a lifetime."

They were a pack of leeches.

Sophia glared at Lemira with pure, venomous hatred. "Stop acting so smug! You stole everything from me. Just wait, I'll make you pay."

Despite her desperate threats, security grabbed her by the arms and dragged her away.

Seeing the toxic hatred in Sophia's eyes as she was hauled off sent a chill down Mrs. Amanda's spine. That was the true face of the Sinclair family.

Lemira turned to her. "They brought all of this upon themselves."

Amelia was a vile woman, and she had raised her daughter to be the exact same.

Mrs. Amanda looked deeply remorseful. "I was so incredibly foolish. I let them manipulate me for years, and because of my blindness, your family was destroyed."

Lemira gently helped her back into the room. "Even if they hadn't used Orion, they would have found another way to do exactly what they did."

The Sinclair Group was on the verge of bankruptcy back then; they were willing to do anything to secure that bid.

Mrs. Amanda offered a bitter smile.

"I secretly funneled business to them for years feeding them contracts. Without my charity they wouldn't have lasted this long, even after stealing your parents bid."

The Sinclairs s had zero business acumen. Amelia had never cared about running a company; her sole focus was grooming her daughter to marry a billionaire. Mrs. Amanda had tried to talk sense into her, but when that failed, she had foolishly tried to play matchmaker for Sophia and Orion, thinking a marriage alliance would fix everything.

Now that she was finally free of her toxic best friend's brainwashing, she was profoundly grateful Orion had completely ignored her demands.

Lemira knew exactly how incompetent the Sinclairs were. "It's not too late that you see the truth now. Don't let them ruin your recovery."

"You're right. Let's not waste our breath on them. You're being discharged today, right?" Mrs. Amanda noted Lemira had changed out of her hospital gown.

"Yes."

Mrs. Amanda reached out and held her hand. "When I said you and Orion weren't a match before, it was partly because favored Sophia, and partly because I feared the trauma of the crash would tear you apart. But the truth is, I really like you. Once everything settles down, let's go to the spa together."

Lemira smiled. "I'd love that. We'll set a date once you're fully recovered."

By then, the lawsuit against the Sinclairs would be over, and Mrs. Amanda would

have finished her transplant and rehabilitation.

Everything was finally moving in a positive direction.

After saying goodbye, Lemira left the hospital. As she stepped onto the curb, Rowan climbed out of a sleek car and walked toward her, holding a massive bouquet of flowers.

"Congratulations on your discharge."
