Stella continued, "To bury the scandal, the heir's mother supposedly had to pay off Gregory Jones with a massive check and beg for his forgiveness. Now, every elite family has explicitly ordered their sons to cut all ties with Sophia. She's completely blacklisted."

Lemira took a moment to process the chaos. "She came to the hospital to beg Mrs. Amanda this morning, but got rejected."

"If I were Mrs. Amanda, I would have thrown her out too," Janice scoffed. "That entire family is insane."

Mrs. Amanda's previous suffering was a prime example. The Sinclairs were parasites; anyone who let them in got drained dry.

"The video of her getting caught in the hotel leaked online," Stella added, shaking her head. "She went from the city's top socialite to a scandalous socialite overnight. My aunt pulled some strings and made sure the media pushed it everywhere. Sophia is utterly finished."

With the public already despising the Sinclair family's arrogance, everyone was gleefully watching them burn.

"This is exactly what she deserves," Janice said.

"She actually had an out," Lemira noted. "Mrs. Amanda offered to pay for her to go abroad and start over, but she refused."

She recounted the confrontation at the hospital.

Janice rolled her eyes. "She is unbelievably greedy. She wanted the Sinclair Group saved AND her mother kept out of prison. Does she think Mrs. Amanda is a genie?"

"Exactly," Stella agreed. "The greed is sickening. Sophia actually has a brain, but she ruined her own life trying to protect her psycho mother. It's pathetic."

Lemira genuinely hadn't expected Sophia to drive herself off a cliff. Now that she was being publicly crucified online, it was hard to feel any pity for her. She had dug her own grave.

"I just don't get it," Lemira murmured. "She's so calculating. How did she not realize her mother was a sinking ship? Why tie herself to the anchor?"

"Not necessarily," Stella theorized. "If Amelia went to prison, the Sinclair family's reputation would be permanently destroyed. Sophia probably couldn't handle the social humiliation, which is why she fought so hard to stop you."

"That makes sense," Janice nodded. "Sophia probably had this entire

backup plan calculated perfectly.

The only variable she misjudgedet

was Gregory flipping on her. If he

had stayed blinded by lust, Lemira would be the one in trouble right now."

Lemira agreed. Sophia was always three steps ahead. She had likely known Gregory was losing patience, se she immediately pivoted to her lapdogheir as a backup plan. But Gregory was ruthless and caught her before she could secure her next safety net.

"She underestimated the cruelty of older, powerful men," Lemira said softly. "She thought Gregory was just like the desperate young heirs she used to string along and throw away."

But Gregory had proven to be a shark.

The following days passed in peaceful routine. The Sinclairs completely vanished from the public eye. The lawsuit regarding the stolen bid proceeded smoothly, and Amelia was formally arrested, awaiting trial.

Everything was falling into place.

But then, a crisis struck Mrs. Amanda. The organ donor match fell through at the last second. The life-saving surgery was indefinitely delayed.

When Lemira heard the news, panic set in. She looked at Stella. "Do you think the Sinclairs sabotaged the donor list?"

"Unlikely. They've been completely silent. Sophia's parents just filed for divorce, which shows how

desperate the family is to cut ties with Amelia They wouldn't dare pull a stunt like this and make an enemy

out of the Everhart family right now."

Lemira paced the room, deeply unsettled. Mrs. Amanda's health was deteriorating rapidly. If they didn't find a new donor match soon, it would be fatal.

Her phone rang. It was Orion.

She answered immediately.

His voice was tight and heavy. "You mentioned before... that Rowan has a way to treat my mother, right?"

Lemira's heart plummeted into her stomach.
