Hearing Sophia's words, Lemira knew exactly where this was going.

The Sinclair family's ultimate goal had never wavered.

"You're the one who ruined the organ donor match?" Orion's voice was ice-cold.

"Of course," Sophia answered with a light, almost cheerful tone. "How else could I negotiate with you?"

"Sophia, your family used my mother for years. You knew exactly how vital that match was for her survival, yet you deliberately destroyed it. Does this repay all the kindness she showed you?"

"Oh, please. Was she really kind to me? I certainly never felt it."

Sophia's voice sharpened. "If your mother actually cared about me, she would have agreed to my terms and let me marry you. But she refused. She chose to side with that bitch, Lemira. You can't blame me for this."

A flare of anger ignited in Lemira's chest at the sheer entitlement in Sophia's voice. Sophia was an ungrateful wretch.

Lemira used to think Sophia was the smartest one in the Sinclair family, but she was exactly like Amelia. Like mother, like daughter.

"I will never marry you," Orion stated flatly.

"Liar! If it weren't for that bitch Lemira, you definitely would have married me."

Orion's lips pressed into a thin line. "Give it up. I won't agree to any of your conditions."

"Orion, can you really watch your mother die? I know you. You're not that kind of person. I'll be waiting for you at The Grand Metropolitan Hotel tonight. Don't leave me hanging."

Sophia hung up immediately, clearly terrified that Orion would reject the offer outright.

A heavy silence settled over the private room.

Lemira glanced at the men. "Does Sophia have no sense of shame?"

Sebastian took a sip of his drink. "Thank God we got that call after eating.

Otherwise, I would have lost my appetite."

Orion looked at Lemira. "I didn't agree to go."

Lemira nodded. "I know. We all heard exactly what she said."

Thaddeus leaned in to explain. "Lemon, do you finally see how those ridiculous rumors started

back then? Believe me if met

even if onion doesn't show up at the hotel tonight, there will be headlines tomorrow morning claiming they spent the night together."

Thinking about Sophia's relentless tactics, Lemira didn't know what to say.

Sebastian frowned. "Can't we just

teach the Sinclair family a lesson?

Letting people like that run wild makes it genuinely hard to believe

Orion has nothing going on with her

Orion frowned, but Thaddeus beat him to the punch. "That's completely different. Amanda used to protect them, and the Sinclairs were never this unhinged before. Who could have predicted they'd turn out to be SO so vile?"

"The Sinclairs definitely need to be taught a lesson," Orion said coolly.

Lemira looked at him. "But the Sinclair family is practically bankrupt. They've lost everything. There's really nothing left to take from them."

"That's a fair point," Thaddeus agreed.

Amelia was behind bars, their company was tanking without Gregory's investments, and Sophia was practically a social outcast.

Sebastian scoffed. "There's always a way to make someone suffer. It just depends on whether certain people are willing to get their hands dirty."

Orion shot him a glacial glare. "I'll handle it."

"Let me go instead."

When Lemira spoke up, all eyes turned to her.

Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "I didn't peg you as the type to play the martyr." Thaddeus looked concerned. "Lemon, you don't need to do this yourself. Giving a person like her any attention will just stroke her ego."

"I don't think Sophia actually destroyed the organ donor match," Lemira explained.
