"But haven't you two broken up?"

"I haven't agreed to it."

Orion's lips formed a thin, cold line. "I'd advise you not to do anything you'll regret."

Timothy didn't say anything, but his eyes held a hint of defiance. In the end, he didn't even light his cigarette and turned back into the suite.

Orion let out a soft sound of frustration. He had just threatened a young kid. The feeling was... indescribable.

Meanwhile, Lemira came out of the restroom, having splashed her face with cold water.

When she returned to the hallway, she saw Orion was still there. Taking a deep breath, she walked toward him.

She walked past him without a glance, but Orion spoke up. "The Al project has a dinner meeting today. Do you want to check it out? There's a new development regarding prosthetic limbs."

At the mention of prosthetics, Lemira thought of Evander.

In her past life, she had indeed developed Al-powered prosthetic limbs, which were very successful.

She had only mentioned it to Orion once, but she was surprised at how quickly he had moved on it. Then again, with both Thaddeus and Orion backing Maple Group, they had all the money and resources they could ever need.

Lemira nodded. She took out her phone and sent a quick message to Oanice, telling them to eat without her.

She followed Orion to a private room at the end of the hall.

When they walked in, the first person she saw was Sophia.

The atmosphere in the room immediately became a little strange.

Everyone present knew about the connection between Sophia and Orion, so his sudden arrival with a young woman was a surprise.

Sophia stood up immediately, taking the initiative. "Ms. Langston, what a surprise to see you here."

A young heir from another family chimed in, "Mr. Everhart, you're not playing fair. Ms. Sinclair is here, and instead of keeping her company, you go out and bring another girl in. Aren't you afraid of making Ms. Sinclair jealous?"

The others in the room joined in the teasing.

Sophia's smile widened, and she looked at Lemira with a triumphant glint in her eyes.

Lemira's own smile broadened. "Perhaps I've come at a bad time?"

At that moment, Lemira turned to look at Orion and even gave him a little smile.

Orion instantly clenched his jaw. The last thing he wanted right now was to see Lemira smile.

That smile was lined with daggers, and it cut deeper than any angry outburst.

Sophia quickly intervened. "No,

you've come at the perfect time.

Some of the investors for the

esports team are here. You're such a talented gamer you could join their professional team in the future."

"I'm not currently considering joining a professional team."

"Such a great opportunity, and you're just going to pass it up? Isn't that a shame?

The school team will hold back your development."

Lemira looked at her. "The manager

of the Reapers has been trying to

recruit me for awhile, but I've refused every time Everyone has their own path."

Sophia quickly stood up and moved to Orion's side. "Orion, please, have a seat.

Everyone's been waiting for you."

Lemira turned to leave, but Orion grabbed her arm.

He looked down at her, his voice gentle. "Are you angry?"

That single gesture stunned everyone in the room. They all stared at Lemira in

shock. *What is going on?*

Lemira's smile widened. "I'm not angry at all."

The young heir who had spoken earlier asked tentatively, "Ms. Langston, are you close with Mr. Everhart?"

Lemira glanced at him and gave a fake smile. "Not at all."

Orion didn't move. He continued to look down at her, his brow furrowed, before turning to the young man "She's my person. Be careful with your jokes."

Heat rushed to Lemira's face. *What does he mean, 'his person'?*
