Evelina bowed her head, sobbing in silence, cursing Lemira a thousand times over in her mind. It was all the maid's fault for going into that room and letting Lemira find
out.
Evelina had done it intentionally-she wanted to disgust Lemira.
But that wretched Lemira had actually destroyed the room.
And she'd cut up her own wedding dress!
Now Evelina was filled with regret. If only she'd been more careful.
Lucian sighed helplessly. "Lemmy, you really shouldn't have ruined the wedding
dress. Now she has something to use against you."
Lemira's expression was cold and stern. "I do what I want. If you can't stand it, then leave."
At that, Evelina's sobs grew even louder.
Just then, someone entered from outside. "Good news-someone has delivered a dress."
A representative from a designer boutique walked in, carrying a white evening gown, and placed it in the center of the living room.
When Evelina saw the brand, she instantly brightened. "Evander, you always know what I like! But there's black detailing on this dress-it won't work."
Evander looked directly at the representative. "Yes, I need a white dress for my wedding. Please take this back and bring another.”
The representative replied, "Actually, this isn't a wedding gown. It's an evening dress for someone attending the wedding."
Evelina's face changed. "What do you mean? I'm the bride. You must be mistaken."
"I'm not mistaken. May I ask, are you Ms. Lemira Langston?"
Evelina's expression froze, and she turned back to glare at Evander. "Evander, did you order a dress for Lemira?"
"That's impossible!" Evander snapped, practically seething. He couldn't stand Lemira. Why would he ever order a dress for her? Absolutely not!
Lemira spoke up, "I'm Lemira."
The representative immediately approached her. "Ms. Langston, hello. This dress was prepared especially for you. Would you like to see if it meets your expectations?"
Lemira glanced at it. “But I didn't order a dress."
Why would she dress up for Evelina's wedding? She'd rather show up in mourning clothes.
"This was arranged by Mr. Everhart."
Lemira looked at the dress again, surprised that Orion would go to such lengths.
He must have heard she'd destroyed the 'two-faced' girl's wedding gown and decided to do this deliberately.
A faint smile appeared on Lemira's lips. "Is that so? What a surprise. The dress is beautiful."
She walked over for a closer look-it really was a lovely gown.
Evelina, beside her, was furious. "Evander, you promised you'd find me a dress!"
Evander turned to the

representative. "I called your boutique earlier about a white wedding dress. Why haven't you found one yet?”
"I'm sorry, sir. I wasn't informed about that, and I'm not in charge of wedding dresses."
"You all work for the same brand. If you can deliver this gown, you can certainly find one that we like," Evander insisted.
As soon as he finished, Evelina approached the representative. "That's right, Lemmy and I are family. Could you help me find a dress too?"
The representative glanced at Lemira.
Lemira replied coolly, "I'm not really close with these people."
Evander burst out, "Lemira, how can
you be so heartless? You're the one
who
Womed Eve's dress, and you
n't even try to make it right?”
“I'm not paying. What are you going to do about it?"
Lemira had no interest in playing games with them. Her answer was simple: she wasn't going to compensate them.
Evander was so angry, his face twisted.
Evelina grew anxious and looked at Lemira. "Why don't you just give me your dress? I can have it altered to fit me."
After all, anything was better than a cheap off-the-rack wedding gown. Wearing a designer dress would give her more status.
Lemira scoffed. “Sure, but on one condition: you go outside my parents' room, get on your knees, and bow three times."
An enemy's daughter should have to kneel.
