Lemira took a step forward, forcing Sophia to stumble backward in a panic. Sophia's eyes darted with sheer terror. How did Lemira know all of this?

Previously, Lemira hadn't thought that deeply into it.

But if the original project team was willing to testify, the Sinclair family's motive would be blatantly obvious.

Hearing this, Mrs. Amelia's face drained of color. She swayed, unable to stand properly.

Susanna quickly held her up. "Mom, are you okay?"

Listening to the exchange, Susanna finally realized her mother really had done all those horrible things.

She looked at Sophia anxiously. "Sophia, think of something! We can't let the company go bankrupt and let Mom go to jail!"

"Shut up! Do I look like a miracle worker? Can I just magically fix everything?"

Sophia turned to her mother. "Mom, why did you have to do that back then?"

If it weren't for the events of the past, the Sinclair family wouldn't have fallen to this state.

Mrs. Amelia slapped Sophia across the face, screaming hysterically, "If it weren't for me, do you think you would have enjoyed a luxurious life as a rich heiress all these years?"

Who did she do it for? It was all for the good of this family.

Sophia covered her cheek and looked up at Orion. "Orion, I'm begging you. Can you please let the Sinclair family go?"

Sophia turned to Lemira, her eyes red. "Lemira, I'm begging you. Please let my mother go."

"Do you really think saying this now has any meaning? Ms. Sinclair, you're only begging because you've hit a dead end. If you had even a sliver of an advantage, you would destroy me without a second thought."

Lemira's tone was hauntingly calm. "Just like your mother destroyed my parents."

She wasn't a saint. She wouldn't soften just because her enemies were groveling. Sophia was entirely consumed by despair.

Beside her, Susanna collapsed directly in front of Lemira, grabbing desperately at her clothes. "Lemira I'm begging you, okay? It was all my fault before. I was young and stupid and made you mad. You can do whatever you want to me, but please just let the Sinclair family off this once!"

Lemira pushed Susanna away, a cold smile forming on her lips. "It's not entirely impossible. But I have a condition."

The moment she said that, all eyes locked onto her.

Lemira looked at Sophia and Susanna. "If you want to save the Sinclair Group from bankruptcy and keep living your comfortable lives, then make your mother confess to everything she did in front of the judge."

"And what if we choose not to surrender and let the company go bankrupt?" Sophia asked.

Lemira sized her up. "That's not an option."

Sophia scoffed. "But if my mother turns herself in, the Sinclair Group will still go bankrupt. It's essentially the same outcome."

Orion spoke up from the side. "It's

not the same. At least the Sinclair

Panic flashed across Sophia's face. "How did you know about that?"

She had been so incredibly discreet about it.
