Orion rolled down his window just in time to see Lemira sitting in the car while

Sebastian reached out and touched her hair.

The scene looked incredibly intimate.

In an instant, the warmth drained entirely from Orion's eyes.

Unable to stop himself, he slammed his hand against the horn. The piercing sound echoed loudly across the lot.

Startled by the noise, Lemira flinched and looked up, meeting Orion's dark, predatory gaze.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she instinctively batted Sebastian's hand away.

The moment she did it, she realized she looked incredibly guilty, as if she had been caught doing something wrong.

Sebastian looked slightly surprised. Glancing back and noticing Orion's arrival, he said casually to Lemira, "Don't misunderstand. You had something in your hair."

He opened his palm to reveal a piece of a dried leaf.

Lemira froze. "It probably fell from the tree."

"Yeah. So don't think I was making a move on you. That's not really my style."

With that, Sebastian took a few steps back. "Since everyone is here, let's head in."

Lemira got out of the SUV and saw Orion standing by his car door. He was dressed in a sharp suit, his posture tall and commanding.

He looked exactly as she remembered—strikingly handsome and effortlessly elegant.

He simply stared at her, his gaze an unfathomable abyss.

Sebastian stepped in front of Lemira, smoothly blocking Orion's view. With a lazy smirk, he drawled, "Mr. Everhart. Long time no see."

Orion looked up at Sebastian, his expression frosty.

His thin lips pressed into a cold line as he stood at his full height. "It has indeed been a while."

"I'll be giving this lawsuit everything I've got. If the Everhart family wants to negotiate, I'm always open to a discussion."

"No need. If there's anything to discuss, Mr. Alfred will contact you."

Orion's attitude remained violently hostile.

He bypassed Sebastian completely and walked straight toward Lemira.

But Sebastian stepped directly into Orion's path. "You can speak from right there. My client's hearing is perfectly fine."

In that instant, the air between the two men turned volatile, thick with lethal tension.

Even Lemira could feel the suffocating pressure standing nearby.

She hadn't expected Sebastian to harbor such deep hostility toward Orion.

Orion's icy gaze locked onto the man blocking his way. "Move."

"Mr. Everhart, I made myself perfectly clear. As the defendant, it would be best if you kept your distance from my client."

After delivering his warning, Sebastian looked back at Lemira. "Let's go. No point wasting time out here."

Lemira nodded.

She looked at Orion. "The Langston family should be arriving soon. Let's head inside first."

She met Orion's eyes. The man tugged aggressively at his tie, looking incredibly irritated.

He stared at her. "I need to speak with you alone."

He heavily emphasized the word 'alone'.

Lemira immediately felt a massive headache coming on.

Just then, the Langston family's car pulled up.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Lemira quickly walked toward them.

Lucian naturally noticed Orion standing nearby. He looked at Lemira. "Why is the Everhart heir here?"

Lemira glanced back at Orion. "He came to prove a point to Evelina's father, so the old man wouldn't doubt my words."

Lucian paused for a moment. "That makes sense."

The group proceeded to walk inside.

Evelina clutched her belly, secretly glaring at Orion. To her fury, she noticed Orion's eyes never once left Lemira.

Evelina gritted her teeth in absolute rage. It was infuriating. Hadn't she heard they broke up?

She had deliberately told Lemira that
