But Natalie wasn't angry. Instead, she calmly wished them a lifetime of happiness.
This wasn't like her at all!
Joanna only felt a thrill when she saw Natalie in absolute agony.
The moments when Sebastian indulged her and let her hurt Natalie were always the most exhilarating.
"I'll make sure you get an invitation," Joanna sneered, staring her down."
I want you there to witness just how happy I am."
Natalie arched an eyebrow, a wicked smile curving her lips.
"Are you sure about that? I've got plenty of dirt on you. If I'm in a bad mood while the two of you are up there on the altar, I might just leak all those little secrets. Wouldn't that be a shame?"
"You..." Joanna clutched her chest, burning with rage. Why was she always the one losing her temper?
Natalie was always so infuriatingly unbothered.
Natalie's gaze turned predatory as she glanced at Luna. "Tell the security guards at the door that this woman is permanently banned. If she steps foot on company property again, throw her out."
"Don't you dare!" Horace snapped. He glared at her coldly. He had assumed Natalie was ruined for life; he never expected her to make a comeback.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, realizing she had completely forgotten about him.
He had been complicit in countless schemes Joanna had orchestrated.
"This is my building, Horace. Why wouldn't I dare? You've been acting as her lapdog, doing all her dirty work. Aren't you afraid of karma?"
"You were the one helping her in the shadows every time she framed me. The second I find solid proof, I'm locking you up."
Horace was the ultimate winner in the end, blindly loyal to Joanna for a lifetime.
The twisted bond between them wasn't something that could be severed with a few provocative words.
Horace let out a cold laugh. "I have
no idea what you're talking about You're lashing out like a lunatic
What terrible things have I attern
supposedly done? What hidden
evidence? You're out of your mind."
"You're the one who is selfish and vicious! How dare you blame others?"
His expression suddenly morphed into something deranged, his voice echoing eerily through the empty lobby.
Natalie didn't even flinch. In this lifetime, she would never give them an inch.
It wouldn't be long now. Joanna was about to experience a living hell.
Luna had already flagged down the security guards. "Throw these two out."
Joanna glared viciously at Natalie, completely powerless. This was, after all, Natalie's territory.
Horace didn't give the guards a chance to touch them; he quickly wheeled Joanna away.
Luna escorted Natalie back to the lounge before stepping out.
Wendy sat across from Natalie.
Natalie waited for her to speak, having zero interest in making small talk.
Wendy knew perfectly well that Natalie had no desire to hear her empty apologies.
"Natalie... Nathan isn't your biological father," Wendy said softly.
The words hit like a bomb, nearly making Natalie jolt out of her wheelchair.
In that split second, she finally
stood why Wendy had b disgusted by her wh
deeply she first brought her home.
Back then, she had looked exactly like Nathan.
Her very existence was a stain on their supposed true love.
SO
A humorless laugh escaped Natalie's lips. "If that was the case, you never should have brought me back. The moment you saw me you should have told me straight to my face that my father was someone else. If I had never shown up, maybe your little family could have lived happily ever after."
What an absolute nightmare of a family.
