Twenty bodyguards stood outside the entrance.
"Ma'am."
Natalie gave a slight nod.
The display of force startled the guard.
He glared at Natalie. "Natalie, what do you think you're doing? Mr. Griffith is inside, and he said you're not allowed in today. Get the hell out of here. This isn't the place
for you."
Natalie leaned back coolly in her wheelchair, her clear, beautiful eyes filled with a murderous intent. "You're the one who should get lost. You don't even know who your boss is. Didn't HR inform you? The name on the door is Su now."
The guard didn't even have time to respond before he was thrown out by the bodyguards.
Natalie left two men to stand guard at the entrance.
"Natalie."
Caleb arrived, a lone figure cutting through the biting wind and snow. Despite the sub-zero temperatures, sweat shimmered on his brow, a testament to his frantic pace.
Natalie offered him a faint smile. "Caleb, you're here."
"Natalie, what happened to you? Why are you in a wheelchair?"
He walked over worriedly and knelt in front of her. His downturned eyes held a cold, murderous glint. Who had hurt her?
Natalie looked at him. In the short time since she'd last seen him, his features had matured, becoming more composed.
"It's nothing," Natalie said. "I was in a car accident a few days ago. I'll be able to stand again soon."
Caleb looked at Tyler and asked, "May I push my sister?"
Tyler glanced at Natalie.
She nodded slightly, and he stepped aside.
"Let's go," Natalie said.
They all took the elevator to the top floor.
They were immediately blocked by more bodyguards as soon as the doors opened.
“Natalie, please leave immediately. Mr. Griffith said that if you return all the assets, he'll consider not pressing charges."
A bodyguard looked down on her condescendingly.
Natalie turned to Tyler. "Tyler, throw every last one of these guards out. Don't let them set foot in here again."
"Yes, ma'am." Tyler waved his hand, signaling his men to grab them.
Suddenly, a cold voice cut through the air. "Everyone, stop!"
Joanna emerged from the office, sauntering over with her hips swaying.
She looked at Natalie with an arrogant expression. "Natalie, this is no place for you to act out. This is Sebastian's company Get the hell out."
Natalie sneered. "Joanna, if lying to yourself makes you happy, then by all means,
keep thinking that.
"But everything here is mine now.
My name, Natalie Su, is on the
paperwork. What's the matter? Are you two trying to squat in my office?"
Joanna was furious. She had come to Sebastian's office early in the morning to
search for confidential files but had found nothing.
How had Sebastian managed to clear everything out overnight?
“Natalie, since you're here, you might as well return everything.” Joanna planned to
use brute force to take back the company.
Natalie let out a cold laugh and sat up a little straighter. Now that the person behind them was out in the open, she no longer had to pretend. "Joanna, on what grounds? Your ability to cry, whine, and throw a tantrum? Or your pathetic act of playing the victim to get men's attention?"
“Unfortunately for you, I'm a woman. Your pathetic damsel-in-distress act has no effect on me"
"Natalie, you...”
Just then, Maxwell Griffith came out of the office. "Natalie, watch your mouth. I'm warning you, this is my company. Leave immediately."
Maxwell was shocked. He never thought Natalie would actually dare to show up.
