Chapter 1075:

Disdain colored the branch manager’s stare as he looked Elena up and down. “So, you’re the ones disturbing Miss Russell’s shopping experience? Our store doesn’t need customers like you. Out, unless you plan on wasting my time.”

Jolie opened her mouth to protest, but Elena quietly reached over, signaling her to stay silent.

No argument followed. Instead, Elena pulled out her phone and made a calm, measured call—straight to the mall manager.

A mocking laugh escaped the branch manager. “Call whoever you want. It won’t change a thing. You’re both leaving, whether you like it or not.”

Only minutes later, the mall manager swept into the boutique, treating Elena and Jolie with nothing but respect. “Mrs. Harper, Miss Harper, what can I do for you today?”

A sudden shift appeared in the branch manager’s demeanor as panic flashed across his face. Who was this woman, capable of summoning the mall manager so high up?

Barely glancing at the branch manager, Elena spoke with effortless cool. “I’d rather not see this shop here again.”

No hesitation showed in the mall manager’s response. “Right away. We’ll have this store closed immediately.”

The words hit the branch manager like a blow. Closed—just like that? The store at Uchison Mall was the top-performing one of this brand globally. He had pulled countless strings to secure his position here. If this store were shut down not long after his management, his career would be over. Desperation crept into his voice. “Please, sir—wait! I didn’t realize who they were. There’s been a misunderstanding, I swear—”

But the mall manager simply ignored him, focusing only on Elena’s instructions.

Moments ago, Stella had been savoring what she thought was the moment Elena faced humiliation. Now, the shock left her speechless. Was the store she’d spent …

about to vanish in a matter of minutes? Confusion swirled. How could Elena pull this off?

Indignation laced Stella’s words. “What makes you think you can close down this store, Elena?”

No answer came from Elena—she didn’t bother dignifying the question.

The mall manager cast a look at Stella that suggested she did not understand the situation at all. “Miss Russell, Miss Harper is the owner of the entire Uchison Mall. If she decides a store should be shut down, it will be shut down. She owes no one an explanation.”

Stella stood there powerless, frustration written all over her face.

Evelyn didn’t miss a beat, offering comfort. “Don’t let Elena get to you, Stella. Remember, Wesley’s expected at the banquet tonight. He might even declare his feelings for you in front of everyone. What matters now is finding the perfect dress for your big moment.”

Stella shot a furious glare at Elena. “This is just a shabby mall. What’s there to brag about?”

Buying out this entire place flashed through Stella’s mind as her first order of business once she and Wesley became a couple. Thoughts of the evening’s event gave her reason to collect herself. She spun on her heel and headed for the fitting room to change.

Seizing the moment, Evelyn aimed her next words at Jolie, her voice dripping with scorn. “Look at the good daughter you’ve raised. She befriends a homewrecker and covets another woman’s man. Is this the upbringing the Harper family prides itself on?”
