Chapter 1125:

Felix figured Wesley had likely run into trouble. There was no way Wesley would just vanish without a word.

Elena’s mind locked onto the most crucial detail. “Who’s the duke?”

Felix’s answer was tight. “The Duke of Blackwood.” Desperation flickered in his eyes. “Miss Harper, what do we do now?”

Elena’s gaze hardened, her face calm but unreadable. “Wesley’s not the type to go down easily. Until he’s back, you keep the Spencer Group steady—don’t let anyone exploit this opening.”

A nod from Felix confirmed his understanding. “Understood.”

Determined and cold, Elena’s next words were like steel. “I’ll go to Yoswye myself.”

Felix straightened his jacket. “Yoswye’s been edging closer to Avaloria, and things have been rough between Yoswye and Houis for a long time. Miss Harper, it’s reckless for you to go to Yoswye by yourself. Allow me to gather a handful of Abyss Cell’s finest to escort you.”

Elena remained calm, her gaze unwavering. “That won’t be necessary. I’m more than capable of managing alone.”

Concern settled into Felix’s features as he knit his brows. “If Mr. Spencer heard about this, he would object right away.” He remembered how much Wesley cared for Elena. If she were to come to any harm, Wesley would surely be upset upon his return.

Elena’s tone turned cold. “Enough. Just follow my instructions.”

Authority radiated from her, and she seemed to fill the room with her presence. Felix’s previously anxious heart suddenly felt at ease. Elena carried a quality that reminded him of Wesley. With her around, nothing seemed unsolvable.

Felix nodded in agreement. “Alright, Miss Harper.” Uncertainty lingered on his tongue, and after a moment’s pause, he voiced his question. “Miss Harper, security in Yoswye’s palace is tight. How are you planning to gain entry?”

Elena offered nothing more than, “I have my ways.”

Although Felix’s curiosity lingered, he wisely decided not to press her for details.

Once Felix departed, Elena retrieved her black phone. The Yoswye royal family—quite a coincidence. Recently, the King of Yoswye had sought her expertise for a medical issue. Accepting wasn’t on her mind at first, but the circumstances left her with little choice but to go.

Once Elena agreed to meet the king for the consultation, she tucked her documents into her bag and readied herself for the journey ahead.

A few moments later, as she made her way downstairs, she spotted Jeffry sitting in the living room. Pausing at the foot of the stairs, she remarked, “Jeffry, I’ll be overseas for a short while. Make sure Mom and Dad know, please.”

Spotting the travel pack on her shoulder, Jeffry asked, “Where are you off to? I can give you a lift if you want.”

Elena offered a gentle refusal with a shake of her head. “Yoswye is my destination. I’m going there for a patient. No need for a ride. I’ve arranged a car, and it’s already here.”

The Harper family was well aware of Elena’s exceptional medical skills, so Jeffry didn’t think much of it and simply advised, “Take care.”

The taxi ride whisked Elena away to the airport. She already held a ticket for the soonest flight out to Yoswye.

While waiting at the airport, Elena flipped open her laptop and tried searching for any clue about Wesley’s location. But all her efforts hit dead ends. It was as though he had simply disappeared without a trace. A chill entered her gaze. Since there was no sign of Wesley, then the Duke of Blackwood would be her starting point.
