Chapter 1126:

Her search turned toward Yoswye’s banking system, where she managed to locate the Duke of Blackwood’s account records. A frustrated sigh escaped her as she noticed the information was locked down tight, showing only his name and nothing else that could help. Clearly, the Duke of Blackwood was highly cautious.

Over the airport intercom, the boarding call echoed through the terminal. Elena slid her laptop into her bag and made her way toward the gate. Several hours slipped by before her plane finally touched down.

At that exact moment, a flight arriving from Avaloria rolled to a stop on a nearby runway. In the first-class cabin, a flight attendant gently woke a resting man. “Excuse me, Duke of Blackwood, we’ve arrived. Welcome to Yoswye,” she said, her voice low and polite.

Blinking himself awake, the man revealed a pair of viper-green eyes. His strikingly handsome face left the flight attendant momentarily stunned until she met his gaze and snapped back to reality.

The man stood up with deliberate grace and disembarked, where a group of guards was already stationed by the arrivals.

While Elena made her way off the plane, she caught sight of a group of guards encircling a figure of obvious importance, but she didn’t linger on the scene. With her backpack slung over her shoulder, she flagged down the nearest cab and instructed the driver, “Take me to the royal court.”

The driver, casting a quick look at what she was wearing, broke into cheerful conversation. “You must work at the palace as a janitor, right? That’s got to be an impressive gig! Good money, plenty of royal faces—”

Yoswye’s warmth had forced Elena to ditch her coat, leaving her in a plain T-shirt and jeans, a far cry from formal attire. She chose to let the assumptions pass without a word.

Upon arrival, Elena took in the sight of uniformed guards lined up in formation outside the palace gates.

Before Elena could get much closer, a butler positioned himself directly in her path, refusing to let her pass. He looked her over slowly, the disdain in his eyes barely hidden, and then spoke in a lazy, mocking tone. “Move along. Do you even realize where you are? Bother the Duke of Blackwood, and you’ll regret it.”

A cool, unwavering look met his glare. “I’m here to treat someone.”

The sneer deepened. “You? Save someone? Don’t flatter yourself. You’re just a girl with big talk—maybe save it for bedtime stories.”

A small crease appeared in Elena’s brow as she silently pulled out her phone, displaying an official message. “It was your king who asked for my help—he invited me to treat him.”

A bark of laughter erupted from the butler. “The King? Inviting you? The sun’s barely up and you’re already hallucinating. What’s next—claiming you’re the legendary Healer?”

With a steady nod, Elena replied, “That’s exactly who I am.”

The butler let out a loud, unrestrained laugh that echoed through the place. “You’re the Healer? Sure—and I’m royalty. I’ve seen plenty of frauds, but you’re something else. The real Healer wouldn’t show up waving a phone around without a proper invitation…”

Before he could finish, a sleek black luxury car came into view, stealing his attention. With an impatient flick of his hand, he waved Elena off. “Move aside. Don’t stand in the driveway.”

All interest in her forgotten, the butler hurried toward the vehicle. “His Majesty the King is expecting you, Your Grace.”

The car, carrying the Duke of Blackwood, didn’t hesitate for a second—it sped forward and passed through the gates without so much as a pause.
