Chapter 1210:

Wesley grabbed Elena’s wrist and slowly guided her hand down his body, pressing her palm against the hard evidence of just how desperately he wanted her.

He refused to release her mouth until they were both breathing hard, desperate for oxygen, their lungs burning from the intensity.

He had been fighting his desire for her for what felt like forever, and now that single touch from her soft hand completely shattered his self-control, making the throbbing need between his legs almost unbearable. His voice came out low and gravelly, thick with lust as he asked, “Can you feel how much I’ve missed you, baby?”

Elena’s lips were red and swollen from his kisses, her chest heaving as she struggled to catch her breath, her hand still pressed against the hot, hard bulge straining against his pants.

Wesley’s mouth left hers and trailed down to her collarbone, planting burning kisses along her skin that made her shiver. His breathing was rough and uneven as he moved to her ear, whispering something she couldn’t quite catch before taking her earlobe between his lips and sucking gently.

His free hand slipped under her silk pajama top, fingers moving lower to find the heat between her thighs he knew would be waiting.

When he felt just how ready she was for him, Wesley’s throat tightened as he swallowed hard and whispered against her skin, “You missed me too, didn’t you, baby?”

His deep, rough voice sent heat rushing through Elena, the sound going straight to her core and making her body respond even more.

Wesley’s skilled fingers began moving against her most sensitive spots, teasing her with barely-there touches that drove her mad with need, only to pull her deeper under his control.

Suddenly, Elena grabbed his hand and stopped him, her voice clear and determined. “No. We can’t.”

Wesley’s eyes darkened, stormy and dangerous, as he demanded, “Why the hell not?”

They had only been apart for a few days, and now she was pushing him away even though she used to beg for his touch and melt beneath his hands. Was it because of that bastard Torin?

In the span of a few seconds, Wesley’s mind raced through a hundred different ways he could kill Torin, each one more violent than the last. Even if he had to remain trapped in Yoswye for the rest of his life, he would make damn sure Torin didn’t live to see another day.

Elena had no idea about the murderous thoughts raging through his head as she firmly pulled his hand out from under her pajamas. She quickly smoothed the fabric, her chest still rising and falling rapidly as she tried to catch her breath.

“Are you trying to get yourself killed? The poison is still in your system. You can’t afford to get your heart racing like this.”

So that was the real reason she was rejecting him. She was worried about his health, not because she didn’t want him. He let out a long breath, the tension in his face easing as he leaned back against the headboard.
