Chapter 1294:

Felix, a passionate advocate for their union, believed wholeheartedly that their match was unparalleled. He couldn’t stop himself from suggesting, “Mr. Spencer, a proposal here would definitely sweep Miss Harper off her feet. She couldn’t possibly turn you down after a gesture like this.” Wesley’s eyebrow arched thoughtfully at Felix’s suggestion.

A phone rang, interrupting Felix, who stepped aside briefly to take the call before turning back to Wesley. “The team bringing Miss Harper’s wardrobe just arrived.”

Wesley nodded slightly.

Shortly thereafter, an elegant stream of brand managers flowed gracefully into the hall, each one flaunting the newest and most exquisite women’s fashion, swiftly transforming the spacious living room into a glamorous exhibition. Without lifting his eyes from his documents, Wesley calmly instructed, “Arrange it all in Elena’s dressing room.”

The collection included sophisticated outfits, lavish shoes, designer handbags, and sparkling jewels, each item more luxurious than the last.

The brand representatives exchanged delighted glances, assured now that their generous year-end bonuses were all but guaranteed.

In a low yet firm voice, Wesley cautioned, “Keep the noise to a minimum. Don’t disturb her.” Everyone instantly recognized who Wesley meant by “her,” requiring no further clarification.

Elena woke to find the other side of the bed empty, neatly folded clothes waiting at the edge.

After slipping into her clothes, she tidied up and headed downstairs. Wesley sat on the sofa, deep in a phone call. The moment he noticed her, he quickly ended the call and walked over. “Are you hungry? I had them bring some food over.”

Since arriving, Elena hadn’t touched any food, only sipping the water Wesley had given her. She nodded slightly and then asked, “Did Felix stop by?”

Wesley’s arm stiffened where it rested around her waist. His gaze sharpened. “Are you worried about Felix?” His voice held a jealous edge.

A servant stepped forward, placed the dishes carefully on the table, and said, “Mr. Spencer, your meal is ready.”

Right after, the staff left the villa, moving quietly out the door. Wesley valued his privacy, and once chores were done, he preferred the house empty—especially with Elena there.

The moment they were alone, Wesley dropped any pretense. He strode to the table, sat down, and pulled Elena onto his lap, holding her tightly. One hand cradled the back of her neck as he leaned in, eyes full of possessive heat.

His jaw tightened as he gritted his teeth. “Since when did you start getting that close to him? Your attention should be on me, not some other guy.”

Without warning, he bit Elena’s lower lip.

“Ouch!” she yelped, covering her mouth and shoving him away. “Wesley, are you planning to turn into a vampire?”

He’d bitten her before. Ever since their feelings came out, his mouth had left its mark more than once. Her skin still showed signs of his affection.
