Chapter 1344:
Before Cathy could even process it, Yvette stormed off and started throwing insults left and right.
“You shameless slut! Who gave you the nerve to show up here? Don’t you feel even a little embarrassed chasing after taken men?”
Her voice was loud enough to turn heads.
A small crowd quickly gathered, drawn by the noise.
Yvette jabbed a finger at Elena and yelled, “Everyone, take a good look! She’s the kind of woman who goes after taken men. Watch out, or she’ll snatch your boyfriend next!”
Murmurs rose from the crowd.
“Oh boy, another woman catching her man’s side chick.”
“She looks classy but acts like gutter trash.”
“She probably gets paid for this kind of thing.”
“Women like her are what’s wrong with the world today.”
Yvette glared daggers at Elena. “You heard me, didn’t you? Stay away from Wesley, or don’t blame me later.”
Elena stared back coldly. “And who exactly are you accusing of stealing someone’s man?”
“You, of course!” Yvette snapped. “If you weren’t so desperate, Wesley and Cathy would already—”
“Yvette!” Cathy quickly cut her off before she said too much. Yvette was about to blow everything. She grabbed Yvette’s arm and whispered urgently, “Everyone’s watching. Let’s just get out of here.”
But Yvette wouldn’t move. She thought Cathy was simply too embarrassed and was trying to avoid a scene. Leaning in, she said, “Don’t worry, Cathy. You’ve got nothing to be ashamed of. It’s that tramp who should be hiding.” Then Yvette turned back to Elena and spoke even louder. “Cathy’s pregnant with Wesley’s baby, and they’re getting married soon. So if you keep chasing after him, don’t expect your family name to save you!”
Cathy froze. Yvette was such a fool.

Elena didn’t bother answering. Calmly, she pulled out her phone and dialed Wesley’s number.
Yvette thought Elena’s silence meant she was scared, and that only fired her up more. “Cathy and Wesley grew up together as childhood sweethearts! Who do you think you are, trying to steal him from Cathy? You think staying quiet gets you off the hook? Making fake phone calls now? Hey! I’m talking to you!” Getting bolder, she even reached out to snatch Elena’s phone.
But before she could, Elena’s expression turned cold. In one swift move, she twisted Yvette’s arm behind her back and pinned her easily with just one hand.
“Let me go! You bitch! I’m Cathy’s best friend. How dare you touch me!” Yvette snarled.
Elena didn’t loosen her grip. Instead, she squeezed tighter, and Yvette’s face went pale from the pain. That smug attitude vanished in an instant.
