Chapter 1440:

Lawrence’s voice boomed through the room.

“Wesley, have you lost all sense? Drop to your knees and beg for forgiveness, right now!” Lawrence had always despised Wesley, and after learning that Carola hadn’t died but had remarried, his hatred had only grown deeper.

Theo’s lips twisted into a smirk.

“Wesley, you heard what Dad said. Get on your knees!”

Before Elena could rise, the door burst open and Arion swept in, flanked by several men. He stepped forward and handed Wesley a crisp report.

“Mr. Spencer, the DNA results just came back. You were right.”

Wesley scanned the document, not the slightest hint of surprise touching his face. Theo couldn’t stand Wesley’s calm demeanor.

“Wesley, are you deaf? Dad told you to beg for forgiveness!”

A second later, Arion swung his leg out, hitting Theo behind the knee and sending him crashing to the floor.

Theo shouted furiously, “I’m a Spencer! Who the hell do you think you are, kicking me like that?”

Arion didn’t even take Theo seriously, pinning him down with a heavy hand on his shoulder. How could a bastard born of an affair dare to act so brazenly in front of Wesley?

Arion shot Theo a withering look.

“Well, I did kick you. What are you going to do about that?”

Theo yelled, “You’ll regret this! Dad, are you really going to let Wesley’s man treat me like dirt in our own house?”

Lawrence’s glare turned on Wesley.

“Ask your subordinate to release your brother this instant! This isn’t your domain, and you can’t act as you please!”

Wesley let out a low laugh.

“Brother? That’s the word you’re hanging on to? You’ve spent more than two decades raising a child who was never yours. What a moron.”

Lawrence’s whole body tensed.

“What nonsense are you spouting now?”

The DNA test sailed through the air as Wesley tossed it straight at Lawrence.

“Take a look for yourself. You’ve been played for a fool all these years. Go on and read whose son Theo actually is.”

Zoie’s breath caught, panic rising as she stared at Wesley, unable to hide her alarm. Did he actually know the truth? It couldn’t be! How could Wesley possibly know Theo and Karen weren’t Lawrence’s children? No way! The sight of the words “DNA Test Report” on the cover made Zoie’s heart stop cold. All the blood seemed to leave her cheeks.

This couldn’t be the report linking Joseph and Theo, could it? If Lawrence read a single line, everything would come crashing down.

With panic taking over, Zoie lunged for the report, wanting to snatch it from his hands. She was too slow. Lawrence already had the pages open.

Desperation made her voice shrill.
