Chapter 1548:
A rush of adrenaline made Charlette’s pulse pound in her ears. She reached out, barely able to keep her voice steady.
“Of course I’m willing.”
Gently, Ellis slipped the ring onto her finger, and it felt as though it had been made just for her.
When Charlette tried to pull her hand away, Ellis wouldn’t let go. Confused, she looked up at him.
With no intention of letting her go, Ellis laced his fingers tightly through hers, refusing to break the connection.
It caught her off guard—he was never this openly affectionate in public. Usually, his tenderness was reserved for private moments, never for the world to see. But here, in front of everyone, he held her hand, showing no intention of letting go.
Without saying a word, Ellis pulled out his phone and snapped a photo of their hands together, then another of the marriage certificate.
Charlette couldn’t help but ask, “What’s with the sudden photo shoot?”
Ellis didn’t answer. He simply opened his social media, uploaded both photos, and hit post. No captions. No explanations. He didn’t need words. Those two pictures said everything—he was married, and he wanted the world to know.
Almost immediately, the comments started rolling in.
Malcolm commented instantly, “You got married? Congrats, man!”
Jeffry chimed in next, “Bring your wife over for dinner sometime!”
Louis jumped in.

“You got hitched without a word? Beat me to the marriage certificate!”
Alexander’s message was blunt.
“Tell us everything when you get back.”
Jolie couldn’t hide her excitement.
“So, when do I finally get to meet my daughter-in-law? Her present’s waiting right here!”
Kason just sent a simple note.
“Congrats, Ellis.”
At the Azure Dragon Unit Base, disbelief swept through the ranks. Nobody could believe the news—Ellis, the man who practically lived in the lab, was officially a married man now.
“Mr. Harper, is this for real? Did you actually tie the knot?”
“Did you quit the team just to run home and get married?”
“Congratulations, dude! Wishing you both the best!”
“Happy married life, Mr. Harper!”
