"Huh?"
Seeing the man suddenly appear before her, Luella froze, her drink still in hand.
She unsteadily pulled herself up and stumbled over to Jimmie.
She walked circles around him, inspecting him from head to toe.
"I'm done for. I'm completely done for." Luella looked at her friend, her face full of horror. "I think I've got alcohol poisoning and I'm hallucinating. I'm actually seeing that bastard Jimmie."
Her friend stood there, looking at the dark-faced man across the room, his expression incredibly complicated.
"I need to drink some water to sober up."
Luella smacked her own forehead and grabbed a glass of ice water from the table, chugging half of it.
She took a deep breath, turned back toward the door, and let out a terrified shriek, quickly backing up several steps.
The pretty boy was still there?!
"I'm seeing a ghost! I'm seeing a ghost!" Luella covered her eyes and hastily shuffled toward the exit.
Jimmie pressed his lips together, grabbing Luella by the collar. His exhausted eyes landed on the baffled friend. His expression was mild, but his tone was indifferent.
"Excuse me, could I have a moment alone with him?"
"Huh?"
The friend looked at the panicked Luella, then at the song playing on the screen, his mouth twitching. "Sure, take your time. I'll take off first."
"Hey? Don't leave me..."
Luella drunkenly reached out to grab her friend's hand, but the door was mercilessly shut by Jimmie.
Only the two of them remained in the room.
Luella tilted her chin up, shaking her head as she stared at Jimmie, giggling foolishly. "Jimmie, what are you doing here?"
"I took a flight."
Jimmie supported her swaying body. He was holding onto his anger, but his voice was gentle. "Luella, we haven't made things clear between us yet."
"Oh."
Unable to stand steadily, Luella had no choice but to lean against his chest, her breath reeking of alcohol. "Whatever you have to say, save it for tomorrow. I'm a little dizzy, I want to sleep for a bit."
With that, the girl's body went limp as she tried to lie on the floor.
Startled, Jimmie quickly caught her, scooped her up into his arms, and walked out.
He hailed a cab and headed straight to his hotel.
Knowing Luella's identity was highly sensitive, Jimmie had to press her head firmly against his chest.
"It's so stuffy."
Luella struggled wildly, mumbling incoherently. "Jimmie, are you trying to assassinate me?"
"No."
Jimmie had a splitting headache. On

Jimmie pursed his lips, his tone stern. "Haven't you ever seen two guys dating?"
"Uh."
The middle-aged driver awkwardly moved his lips.
Honestly. He really had only seen it on TV.
Young people these days sure knew how to cause a scene.
The driver kept quiet and focused on the road.
Upon arriving at the hotel, Luella had already fallen into a daze and was carried into the room by Jimmie.
After the car ride and being carried around, her stomach churned violently.
"Urgh—"
Luella shoved Jimmie away and stumbled into the bathroom.
Clinging to the toilet, she vomited uncontrollably.
Jimmie immediately followed. Completely ignoring the mess on the floor, he gently patted her back.
"I feel awful. I want water," Luella groaned miserably.
"Alright."
Jimmie brought over some warm water and carefully helped her drink. "Slow down, don't choke."
Luella gulped down a few mouthfuls, her eyes wide open, staring unblinkingly at the man above her.
A few seconds later, she raised her hand and cautiously touched his face with her fingertips.
"You're real."
"What else would I be?" Jimmie found her drunken state incredibly endearing, the corners of his lips turang up if I were a ghost, would you be able to talk to me?"
"Why..."
Luella bit her lip, her eyes suddenly turning red, her expression looking terribly wronged "I made things s30 clear to you, why did you still un all s the way over here to see me?"
